Chapel Hill was the top seed for the boys and girls tournaments in the Carolina-6 3A Conference, but only one team won -- and it was not the undefeated boys.

In 4-A: Wilmington Laney at West Johnston; Clayton at Fayetteville Britt; Garner at Scotland; Northern Durham travels to Holly Springs; Apex is at Wake Forest-Rolesville; Leesville Road is at Person; Riverside is at Fuquay-Varina
Riverside won the Catamount Classic, while Panther Creek was the only boys team to go 2-0 in round-robin play at the Tri-Nine/Cap-Eight Challenge.

Panther Creek will be the host of two holiday basketball tournaments on Dec. 29 and 30. Four girls teams will compete in the bracket-style Catamount Holiday Classic, while four boys teams will face off in a round-robin style Tri-Nine/Cap-Eight Challenge.
Southern Vance ace has not allowed an earned run this season.
