PAC-6 all-conference boys' and girls' basketball, 2013

Friday's girls NCHSAA sectional finals

Girls basketball teams play this Friday with a chance to advance to next week's regionals. Two area Cinderellas are still alive: 12-seed Cary and 11-seed Sanderson, who play at 1-Millbrook and 7-Southern Durham, respectively.

Hillside at Green Hope, a rematch from a second-round thriller from last year, highlights the area games as the two sides are a combined 49-5 this year.

Chapel Hill, Northwood, Jordan-Matthews and Goldsboro are at home in their quests to make regionals, while Bunn and Southern Lee are on the road.

All game times are 7 p.m.

PAC-6 Basketball Tournament Pairings

Hillside managed to sweep the PAC-6 tournament titles, defeating Southern Durham in the girls championship by three points and getting a last-second basket to upset 1-seed Person for the boys championship.

Green Hope, Millbrooks girls on collision path

Millbrook (26-1) and Green Hope (24-1) could be on a collision path in their NCHSAA 4-A sectional, but the eight-team bracket also features hot Durham Hillside (20-6)..

Bottom 4-A East bracket filled with locals

Travel will be at a minimum in the bottom bracket of the NCHSAA 4-A bottom sectional.  Jordan, Panther Creek, Broughton, Lee County, Enloe, Millbrook and Southern Durham are in the same bracket.
