Garner's boys and Southeast Raleigh's girls made a statement by backing up their Greater Neuse River 4A Conference regular-season basketball championships with conference tournament titles.
But Garner's didn't come easy, needing a buzzer-beater to defeat Clayton. Read the story on both games by clicking here.

Southeast Ralegh standout quarterback to announce college decision Tuesday
Submitted by dclaybest on 01/07/2012 - 09:27Southeast Raleigh High School standout senior quarterback David Washington told N&O correspondent Mike Potter Friday night that he will announce his college decision at Tuesday night's basketball game against Garner.
Washington said he will choose between Old Dominion, Richmond and Charlotte.
The 6-foot-4 quarterback was named the Greater Neuse River 4A Conference's player of the year this past season, throwing for more than 2,600 yards and rushing for nearly 1,200.
