Some crimes just scream Lifetime movie. I'm guessing that's what the network folks were thinking when they put "Abducted: The Carlina White Story" (8 tonight, Lifetime) in motion.
Woman finds out she was stolen from her family as a baby 23 years ago? Yes! It's ripped from the headlines gold. And yet, "Abducted" is a mostly emotionless, by-the-numbers movie that only gets going toward the end of the film.
In 1987, 19-day-old Carlina White was snatched from Harlem Hospital in New York by a woman posing as a hospital worker. Her unmarried young mom and dad, Joy White and Carl Tyson, never stopped hoping she would be found.

Lenni G reports on last night's elimination show, which surprisingly, lacked the promised "dance-off":
"Dancing with the Stars" correspondent Lenni G fills us in on last night's dances:
Our "Dancing with the Stars" correspondent Lenni G has some thoughts on last night's episode.
Our "Dancing with the Stars" guest blogger Lenni G is back on duty this season, and she loved last night's premiere. Here's her recap:
First up, "Sherri," the short-lived Lifetime sitcom based on the life of "The View" host Sherri Shepherd. The two-DVD set includes 13 episodes plus bonus webisodes featuring Ms. Shepherd's standup comedy.
We've paired that with "Huge," an acclaimed ABC Family show that starred Nikki Blonsky as a girl who attends fat camp and her relationships and adventures there.
The second package features "Off the Map," the ABC show from the preoducers of "Grey's Anatomy." You'll get more than 500 minutes of the show about young hot doctors in the South American jungle, plus bonus features like the cast discussing jungle medicine and cures.
That comes with the complete series of "Outsourced," the NBC sitcom about an American working at a call center in India. More than 7 hours of viewing with this one, plus a gag reel.
There were some grumbling about whether President Obama should have appeared on "The View" today.
A reminder that President Barack Obama will be a guest tomorrow morning on "The View," which I think could be pretty interesting.
Emeril Lagasse reigned during the nascent days of The Food Network, but in 2007, after 11 years, the network cancelled "Emeril Live."
