Four players leave UNC football program

Four players are leaving North Carolina's football program, the school announced Monday.

Defensive lineman Jared McAdoo was dismissed for violating an unspecified team rule while receiver Brendon Felder and linebacker Herman Davidson have decided to transfer. A fourth player, linebacker Shane Mularkey, has decided to end his college football career.

UNC reserves Mularkey and Elleby out for the season

North Carolina reserves Shane Mularkey and Greg Elleby will miss the rest of the 2010 season.

Mularkey, a backup linebacker and key special teams player, had his left shoulder surgerically repaired last Thursday, the school announced on Monday. Mularkey, a sophomore, played in the first two games before the injury.
