A brilliant UCLA professor, and some counterparts at USC, have signed on to explain some of the weightier ideas foisted upon us by ABC blockbluster Lost.
The show's creators corraled professors from both Pac-10 schools to teach online courses — exams and everything! — on tje philosophy, physics and hieroglyphics behind the show. Check out the particulars in this L.A. Times story.
I was gonna sign up but you have to own Blu-Ray discs of Season 5 and students will get hints about HOW IT WILL ALL END. More at Lost University.
And why would anyone want to know before it does end? I like being strung out on Lost. It's a socially acceptable addiction. Now WAITING EIGHT MONTHS to know for sure that Juliet died — sniff, sniff ... Tito, get me a tissue — during the S5 finale in May, isn't as cool.
Lost premieres Feb. 2. Recap at 8 p.m. Two-hour episode at 9.
(P.S. The snap of Sayid has nothing to do with anything except I miss watching him work it out against guys 5X his size. And he's carrying a gun and bleeding from the head.)
