LPGA stars will join Executive Women's Golf Association conference at Pinehurst

LPGA stars Annika Sorenstam, Suzann Pettersen and Kristy McPherson will
be just down the road in Pinehurst Resort next week, and about 400
recreational golfers from across North America will watch and learn
from those players and other golf notables.

The recreational golfers will be the participants in the EWGA Golfpalooza, formerly known as the Executive Women’s Golf Association's annual conference.

The event at Pinehurst Resort will be hosted Wednesday through Saturday by the recently formed EWGA Sandhills Chapter.

Cary, Raleigh boys win golf titles

One of the perks of living in North Carolina is rarely having to stop
playing golf. Tournament series continue over the winter, and hardy
golfers turn out to compete.

Among the winter golfers are the juniors who compete in the Eastern Junior Golf Association, which visited Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington on Feb. 6-7.

Andrew Fowler of Cary and Eric Bae of Raleigh were among the champions crowned on Sunday at the invitational event.
