What to Watch on Thursday: Big night of premieres on NBC and Fox

Survivor: Samoa (8pm, CBS) - Hard to believe, but this is the 19th season of "Survivor." Tonight, right after being divided into two tribes but before they are even given a chance to speak to each other, they are charged with electing a chief who will make all their decisions.

Bones (8pm, Fox) - The fifth season premieres with Booth (David Boreanaz) fresh from surgery to remove a brain tumor, but suffering from bouts of amnesia. Angela's psychic, played by Cyndi Lauper, tells them there are bodies buried under a fountain in Washington, D.C., so Booth and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are back on the job asap.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - Congress is all up in the Fringe unit's Kool-Aid in tonight's second season premiere. In addition to the scrutiny from congress, Olivia returns to familiar surroundings, but there's a "mysterious entity" tracking her. Olivia also gets to add "super hearing" to her trick bag this season.

SNL, Parks & Recreation, The Office, Community (8pm-10pm, NBC) - Tonight is NBC's big comedy debut night, starting with "SNL Weekend Update" at 8pm. Amy Poehler will join Seth Myers at the Update desk for the first two weeks. Next is the second season premiere of "Parks & Recreation," in which Leslie (Poehler) accidentally tries to "gay marry" two penguins in a publicity stunt. Comedian Louis C.K. joins the cast as a love interest for Leslie. At 9pm, "The Office" season 6 opens with Dunder-Mifflin staffers gossiping about summer interns. Michael (Steve Carell) feels left out so he goes out looking for a rumor to spread. Then at 9:30 it's the premiere of NBC's new sitcom "Community," starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase. Here's our full review, but in a nutshell: it's funny.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10pm, FX) - Season 5 opens with Frank, Mac, and Dennis trying their hand at real estate (great timing) and Dee decides to be a surrogate for a rich couple.
