Another NC queen makes it on "RuPaul's Drag Race"

Grab your wigs, up your attitude and prepare to tuck: Season Three of "RuPaul's Drag Race" begins tonight (Logo, 9 p.m) and just to make things even more yummy, one of the 12 queens competing is a Tar Heel.

Her name is Stacy Layne Matthews from the gloriously named Back Swamp. Seriously. It's a township near Lumberton.

Stacy says she watched the first two seasons of the show and knew she had to be on. Unlike Raleigh's plus-size diva Victoria 'Porkchop' Parker who appeared on the first season of "Drag Race," Stacy is one of three full-figured queens.

Stacy wants you to know that being bigger doesn't put her at a disadvantage. "People underestimate me, but I'm just as fierce and can do anything they can do and as well.

"A lot of people expect plus-size girls to just walk around. I can dance, I can do splits, if I want to."

Go "On the Road with Austin & Santino" and enjoy the ride

If there's one reality show genre that never seems to get old, it's the makeover. There's no shortage of bad taste or bad choices, so there are no shortage of rooms or wardrobes in need of salvation.

And so "On the Road with Austin & Santino" (Lifetime, 10:30 p.m.) works; it takes the makeover show complete with the Cinderella triumph aspect and adds the fun of fish out of water hijinks, bromance, travelogue, Americana and custom fashion. I mean, could you ask for anything more?

Austin Scarlett was on the first season of "Runway," making the legendary corn husk dress. He came in fourth and now is the creative director for Amsale, the luxury bridal collection. Santino Rice was on season two; he finished third and did a near-perfect Tim Gunn impersonation (The content is obscene). He's also a judge on "RuPaul's Drag Race."

Enroll at "RuPaul's Drag U" to find your inner diva

I remember after I gave birth to my child, I was talking to a friend about how exhausted I was, how I had so little time.

Her advice: Whatever you do, don't stop wearing lipstick. I got her point; don't stop taking care of yourself.

But we women do that all the time, don't we? And in lieu of a good girlfriend, who better to set us back on track than a bunch of drag queens?

That's the premise of "RuPaul's Drag U" (Logo, 9 tonight), a cheeky (of course) little show that takes all the double-entendres, humor and fabulousness of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and brings it to the people.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Women compete on "American Idol"

Winter Olympics (NBC) - Women's figure skating, curling and hockey. Full schedule.

Please watch and make NBC regret they were ever stupid enough to cancel this show. TNT will show six new episodes starting March 2.

Start your engines, girl. "RuPaul's Drag Race" returns tonight.

It's perhaps the guiltiest of guilty pleasures, and it's back for a second season tonight.

Adrienne wrote about season one of "RuPaul's Drag Race" last year, which actually featured a contestant from Raleigh. Season two debuts tonight at 9pm, and its new companion show, "Untucked," follows at 10pm. (And if you're snowed in at home today, there's a season one marathon on right now that started at noon!)

Tonight's premiere will feature a "Gone with the Wind" photo shoot, and then the ladies have to make a Scarlet O'Hara dress out of curtains. Kathy Griffin is the guest judge.

Did "Porkchop" Sashay or Chantez?

Last night, Raleigh's own Victoria "Porkchop" Parker made her debut on "RuPaul's Drag Race," on the Logo channel (or since Time Warner doesn't carry Logo, at www.rupaulsdragrace.com).

So how did she do?
