Being Human (Noon, Syfy) - A marathon of the first season of Syfy's series about a vampire and a werewolf who try to live like humans, and move into a townhouse haunted by the ghost of the landlord's dead fiance. Highly recommended.
Awkward. (5pm, MTV) - A marathon of MTV's excellent sitcom about an ordinary teenager (Ashley Rickards) who is thrust into the spotlight at school after a simple accident leads everyone to believe she attempted suicide. The season follows her through battling with her subsequent "weird girl" image and the ups and downs of high school friendships and romance. It's very well done.
Rudolph's Shiny New Year (8pm, ABC) - Red Skelton narrates this tale about the shiny-nosed reindeer on a special mission for Santa. Frank Gorshin and Morey Amsterdam lend their voices.
The Closer (9pm, TNT) - The federal lawsuit against Brenda heats up in the wake of a murder. As Brenda's lawyer (Mark Pellegrino) goes to court for her, she turns to a businessman (Jason George) for help with the murder case.
Rizzoli & Isles (10pm, TNT) - In the Season 2 finale, Jane and Maura investigate a warehouse fire that took the life of a firefighter. A hit-and-run incident soon complicates the case. Billy Burke and Jacqueline Bissett guest star.
Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - In the Season 1 finale, the 11th Pilgrimage reaches Terra Nova, and the Phoenix Group moves ahead with their plan with help from Lucas and Mira. But Taylor and Jim are united against the Phoenix Group. I'm sad to say that even my deep love for Jason O'Mara (right) couldn't keep me interested in his show for a whole season. Any chance ABC can bring back "Life on Mars"? No?
Terra Nova (8pm, Fox) - Zoe faces a tough choice concerning the dinosaur she's been caring for.
Bachelor Pad (8pm, ABC) - This three-hour season finale begins in Las Vegas and ends in Los Angeles. The winners get $250,000, but their dignity may be lost forever. One of the finalists (and a favorite to win) is Graham Bunn, a Raleigh native who
9/11: The Day That Changed the World (8pm, Smithsonian Channel) - A two-hour special telling the inside story from the people in charge of protecting the nation on 9/11. Exclusive interviews with Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Rudy Giuliani, Andrew Card, Richard Clarke, and others. Narrated by Martin Sheen. Repeats at 11 tonight and 5 p.m. tomorrow.
The Glades (10pm, A&E) - In the Season 2 finale, ex-con brothers seize Callie's hospital and take hostages, and Jim and Callie (right) must work together to capture the men and keep everyone safe.
La La's Full Court Life (9pm, VH1) - A new reality show that follows La La Vasquez and her husband, NBA star Carmelo Anthony. Tonight, Kelly Rowland visits La La in Denver, and the ladies challenge Carmelo and his teammates to a bowling match.
Deadly Sibling Rivalry (9pm, Lifetime) - In this lifetime movie, a disturbed woman (Charisma Carpenter from "Angel") takes over her sister's identity after her sibling falls into a coma following a car accident, but the injured woman's daughter suspects something isn't right with her mysterious new mom.
Warehouse 13 (9pm, Syfy) - Dr. Vanessa Calder (Lindsay Wagner) reunites with Artie for a case that requires some help from Calder's ex-flame; a mystery lands Pete and Myka in bed while Steve is missing. Saul Rubinek and Rene Auberjonois also guest star. The new Syfy drama "Alphas," starring David Strathairn, follows at 10.
Hell's Kitchen (8pm, Fox) - In the Season 9 premiere, Chef Gordon Ramsay guides and berates 18 "chefs" as they vye for the spot of head-chef at New York City's BLT Steak restaurant. My advice: watch "MasterChef" instead (9pm, Fox).
