"Dancing with the Stars": It's apparently not about the "dancing"

Our DWTS blogger Lenni G is heartsick. And a lot of other adjectives. Read on:

To say I am shocked and dismayed about last night's results is a huge understatement.  Oh well, here's what I think.

We had the usual entertainment - an encore from Team Apolo, the cast of "Mary Poppins," Taylor Swift twice and Rod Taylor once. We had Special Awards given to previous stars from the first 200 shows, my personal fav being the "Two Left Feet" plaque presented to the "Best Worst Dancer, Kenny Mayne.

Then we had the elimination.

All of Team Kristi were in jeopardy - Bristol and Mark, Rick and Cheryl, and Kyle and Lacey. First to safety out of this group was Bristol, yes, BRISTOL. (Hope America remembers her comment after her Monday night dance when she said, while crying, "I'm exhausted, I miss my son and I want to go back to Alaska."  C'mon American, we can make this girl's wish come true!)

Dancing with the Stars: Rick Fox is hot on 200th episode

Our "Dancing with the Stars" blogger Lenni G on last night's 200th episode:

It was the 200th show in the series so we had to celebrate. Many former stars were back either sitting in the audience or taking part in the dancing and judging.

The evening started with a team competition pitting Kristi Yamaguchi's group of Rick and Cheryl, Bristol and Mark, and Kyle and Lacey against Apolo Ohno's crew of Kurt and Anna, Brandy and Maks, and Jennifer and Derek. Team Kristi did the first cha cha to "Working Day and Night." Carrie Ann said Rick was "on fire" (and so was I), Len felt this team was the underdog but they "put up a good fight" (they did), and Bruno thought Bristol looked sorta "lost" (she was). As usual, I loved Kyle's performance and really feel he was the best of the three stars on this team.  Judges' scores - 8's from all 3 for a total of 24. This score will be added to the score each star receives for their individual dance.

Rick Fox hired as NBA TV analyst

The Orlando Sentinel reports that as soon as former NBA star (and former Tar Heel) Rick Fox hangs up his dancing shoes, he'll have a new gig as a guest studio analyst on NBA TV.

NBA TV is a partner with TNT and carried in more than 53 million homes. The network already has big name analysts like Ernie Johnson, Ahmad Rashad, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Reggie Miller.

Rick Fox is currently dancing -- and doing quite well -- on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

Dancing with the Stars: Bad jive and hot wax

Our "Dancing with the Stars" correspondent Lenni G on last night's show:

Last night's show featured the worst jive in the show's eleven seasons, a lost bet which will lead to a hot wax moment on a male dancer's legs, and an appearance by the "Killa from Wasilla."

Dancing first were Rick Fox (left) and Cheryl Burke doing the jive. Egads, this dance was soooo fast (and good). The former Laker Guy got props from the judges for being a really tall guy with unusually (for a really tall guy) good dance skills.  Judges' scores - 7's from all three for a total of 21.

Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas were next with a quick step.  Have to agree with Carrie Ann that Florence is pretty darn incredible for a 76 year old.  I, for one, really appreciate that this "more mature" woman is really taking the competition seriously.  Judges' scores - 7 from Carrie Ann, 6's from Len and Bruno for a total of 19.

Dancing with the Stars: The world (minus Germany) has spoken

Our "So You Think You Can Dance" correspondent is back for another season of "Dancing with the Stars" recaps. Here's Lenni's take on last night's elimination (also, be sure to check out our photo gallery from Monday night's show):

It was elimination Tuesday featuring Carlos Santana alone, Daughtry alone, Carlos Santana and Daughtry, and Carlos Santana and India Arie.  Obviously, Carlos Santana plays well with others.

And now for the elimination.

It's been all over the media already but ... SPOILER AHEAD!

Dancing with the Stars: The good, the bad, the ugly

Our "So You Think You Can Dance" correspondent is back for another season of "Dancing with the Stars" recaps. Here's Lenni's take on last night's premiere (also, be sure to check out our photo gallery from last night's show):

A first night of some good dancing and some bad, with the stars doing either a cha cha or Viennese waltz.

Audrina Partridge and pro Tony Dovalani started it off with a cha cha which I thought was quite good.  I had never seen this lady in my life (old folks are not into "The Hills") but agreed with the judges that she danced with confidence.  Judges' scores - Carrie Ann and Bruno gave her 6's and Len gave her a 7 for a total of 19.

Next up, Kurt Warner (pictured here with Rick Fox) and Anna Trebunskaya (yes, that Anna Trebunskaya) did a Viennese waltz.  Bruno thought he was "graceful" (he was) and that he has "great potential" (he does).  Carrie Ann agreed with Bruno but Len, surprise!?, disagreed.  We're only two dances into the new season and Len is already PMS'ing!  Judges' scores - Carrie Ann and Bruno gave him 7's and Len gave him a grumpy ol' 5 for a total of 19.

New "Dancing with the Stars" cast: Gym, tan, laundry ... foxtrot?

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino (left) will be adding a new task to his daily regimen of gym, tan, and laundry: dance lessons.

The "Jersey Shore" lothario has been confirmed by ABC as one of the contestants on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars," along with former NBA (and UNC) star Rick Fox, NFL quarterback Kurt Warner, singer Michael Bolton, "Brady" mom Florence Henderson, comedian/actress Margaret Cho, singer/actress Brandy, reality actress Audrina Patridge, actress Jennifer Grey, actor/singer(?)
