What to Watch on Sunday: Regis, Shark Tank, Joan Rivers Roast

Who Wants to be a Millionaire (8pm, ABC) - Regis Philbin is back with the hit that started the big prime time game show craze in 1999. Tonight kicks off the first in 11 straight nights of prime time "Millionaire" action, as the show celebrates its 10th anniversary with an updated ("improved," says Regis) format. Both celebrities and non-celebrities compete for cash. Katy Perry plays and Sam Donaldson serves as a lifeline.

Joan Rivers Comedy Central Roast (9pm, Comedy) - Kathy Griffin hosts a roast of comedian Joan Rivers and trust me, it's gonna get U-G-L-Y.

Shark Tank (9pm, ABC) - A Cary businessman is one of several entrepreneurs who do their best to convince a panel of billionaires to invest in their idea or their company.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (9pm, NBC) - Tonight is the season 8 finale (finale!? too soon! too soon!), and it's a Goldblum episode. The plot sounds complicated - somehow the kidnapping and murder of a bank executive leads to something about a terrorist plot. Who cares. It's Goldblum. Also, don't miss a season 8 marathon on USA beginning this morning at 10am and lasting till 6pm.

WTVD anchor could spend a day with Regis

Today on Live! with Regis and Kelly, WTVD anchor Tisha Powell got a shout-out and some good news.

Powell is a finalist in the show's "From Local to LIVE Co-Host for a Day" search. She anchors the 5 & 5:30 p.m. news on WTVD and the 10 p.m. broadcast on CW22.

Raleigh woman gets a call from Regis Philbin

Arden McFarlane of Raleigh got an early call this morning from Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, who offered her a chance to win a free trip to Turtle Bay Resort in Hawaii. All she had to do was tell them Rainn Wilson's character's name on "The Office."

Even though I yelled "Dwight! Dwight!" at the TV, McFarlane tossed out a last second guess of "Ed." Unfortunately, she didn't get the trip, but she did get a $500 gift certificate to Crabtree & Evelyn instead. "I'm okay with that," McFarlane told Happiness is a Warm TV this morning.

The Bachelor: Jason mocked by Jimmy Kimmel & Regis

Last night after the first After the Final Rose show, Jason Mesnick appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to try to convince America that he's not a total jerk.

We learned a few interesting things. First, Jason says that Melissa knew before they went on the show that they were not "together" - in fact, he says . . .

On TV - Walt Disney Christmas Day Parade

You might want to have this on your radar for Christmas morning -- The Walt Disney Christmas Day Parade hosted by Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa, and Ryan Seacrest. The parade will feature music by Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and American Idol winner David Cook. Also appearing, Corbin Bleu of High School Musical, and all the usual Disney characters.

The two hour special starts at 10am on ABC. So when you've opened all the presents and you're trying to manage a screaming tantrum over the lack of AA batteries, turn this on for the kiddies. The shiny young Disney stars will distract them and make them happy again. Or Regis will yell at someone and we can all smile.
