Database updated with Sunday's new coupons

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated with all of the new coupons -- and there were a bunch.

This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains four inserts -- one Smart Source, one Red Plum, the P&G and a "Spring Flavor Saver" -- for a total of 200 coupons with a face value of about $300.

That's before you double the first coupon, of course.

Not familiar with the coupon database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog.

There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.

Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.

It's a handy tool, giving you the most timely and detailed list of coupons in the Triangle.

Four coupon inserts in Sunday's N&O

It will be a great Sunday for coupons this weekend.

Look for four coupon inserts -- one Smart Source, one Red Plum, the March P&G and a small "Spring Flavor Saver" -- in this Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer. Also look for a coupon in the Parade magazine.

After a couple one-insert weeks, we have a plethora of coupons to clip. There will be a combined total of 200 coupons with a face value of about $305 -- and that's before every-day double coupons, which we're fortunate to have at Kroger, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods.

I'll have the coupon database updated and the best of the drugstore and Kroger deals posted early Sunday morning, about the same time your paper hits the driveway. That way, you'll have the most complete and up-to-date coupon information for the Triangle at your finger tips.

Please note: Single-copy and State Edition papers may not contain all coupon inserts.

And be on the look out for a one-page P&G insert with four healthy and beauty coupons, including a BOGO offer on Pantene products. This insert may have been zoned according to address so no guarantees that you received it.

Coupon on fresh grapefruit is back

The printable coupon on fresh grapefruit is back.

This time around you can print it on RedPlum.com.

The coupon is for $2 off the purchase of any 5-pound bag of fresh Florida grapefruit or 54-ounce or larger 100% grapefruit juice.

Print it today and use it on the last day of Lowes Foods Super Doubles. Or save it for a sale on grapefruit.

Coupons for produce are rare so I recommend printing it before it reaches its limit and is pulled from the site.
