What to Watch on Friday: NAACP Image Awards honor George Lucas

NAACP Image Awards (8pm, NBC) - The 43rd annual gala that honors achievement in the arts presents this year's NAACP Vanguard Award to "Red Tails" executive producer George Lucas. Performers include Lenny Kravitz and Jill Scott. Chances you'll get to see Viola Davis make a speech? Pretty darn good!

Shark Tank (8pm, ABC) - Products include a wedge pillow designed to allow women with large breasts to sleep comfortably on their stomachs and a way to deal with missing garbage can lids.

One Moment in Time: The Life and Times of Whitney Houston (9pm, ABC) - A retrospective that includes an interview Whitney gave to Diane Sawyer in 2002. That would be the infamous "crack is whack" interview.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - A patient with a mental disorder seems to be linked to a series of murders, but the ensuing investigation helps Olivia discover even more surprises.

Blue Bloods (10pm, CBS) - A thief is shot and killed after robbing a family and beating them, which makes the Reagans ponder how far they would go to protect their loved ones. Meanwhile, Frank struggles with charges brought against a girl arrested at a rally due to her identity.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Maher's guests include Eliot Spitzer, Alexandra Wentworth, Steve Moore, and Erin McPike.

What to Watch on Friday: The penultimate 'Friday Night Lights'

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - A decision is made about East Dillon's football program, and Coach Taylor receives an offer he can't refuse. Also, Riggins rethinks his future plans when an old flame returns to town.

Dateline NBC (9pm, NBC) - Dennis Murphy reviews the Casey Anthony case, but listings also say that Keith Morrison investigates the mysterious death of a student in North Carolina.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - The Bob Barker hunts for two boat crews lost during a dangerous mission. Also, the Gojira finds the whalers' refueling vessel.

Torchwood: Miracle Day (10pm, Starz) - Top secret investigators try to discover why no one on Earth is dying. In this opening episode, a CIA agent joins the probe and tries to determine if there's a global conspiracy at work.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests include Ann Coulter, Amanda Foreman, and Christopher Hayes.

What to Watch on Friday: 'Flea Man' helps singer raise funds

Flea Man (8pm, National Geographic Channel) - The show's host, Jimmy Kaplow, helps a toy collector sell some of his prize possessions so he can raise money to renovate his basement. In a second episode at 9, an aspiring country singer needs cash to record his first album, but he's reluctant to sell his most valuable collectibles.

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Coach Taylor is recruited by a top college program, and Vince takes steps to become a starter again. Also, Tim Riggins' friends and family speak on his behalf at a parole hearing. Free Riggins! Free Riggins!

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - In the Season 2 finale, Jamie is invited to meet the new superintendent of the LAUSD, and he's heartened by developments there. Later, he organizes a cooking competition for high school students, with acclaimed chefs Jonathan Waxman and Michael Symon serving as judges.

Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings (10pm, IFC) - A new show in which the Fuquay-Varina comedy duo cross the country filming commercials for small businesses using local talent. In tonight's opener, Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal (right) are in LA to shoot spots for a doggie day care and a hotel for cats. (Photo taken at Red House Furniture in High Point, NC). Unfortunately, we haven't seen it (ahem, IFC). There's more info on the show here, including the fact that the 10:30 repeat will be interactive.

Crossroads (10pm, CMT) - The Doobie Brothers and Luke Bryan perform each other's songs and find musical common ground.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests are Richard Engel, Alexandra Pelosi, David Carr, Susan Del Percio, and Michael Smerconish.

What to Watch on Friday: Step away from the Bacon Bomb

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - Jamie discusses consequences of unhealthy food choices with students at West Adams High, inviting people with diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure to share their stories. Also, a single dad learns to prepare home-cooked meals.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - The Sea Shepherds try to locate the factory vessel, but they are soon followed by two harpoon ships.

Younger Next Year: The New Science of Aging (10pm, UNC-TV) - Columbia University medical professor Henry S. Lodge, author of the "Younger Than Next Year" books, offers advice on living a longer and healthier life. Let me guess: eat right, exercise, get plenty of sleep?

Outrageous Food (10pm, Food) - This show is the counterpart to the previous show, with instruction on how to be sicker and die sooner. In this episode, Tom Pizzica (right) visits Paddy Long's in Chicago, home of the Bacon Bomb -- five pounds of sausage, pork, and beef, wrapped in a weave of bacon. Tom also samples a 7-pound burrito at San Felipe's Cantina in Tempe, Arizona, and a 2-foot pizza topped with ghost chiles at Bernie-O's Pizza in Michigan.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests tonight are US Rep. Jane Harman, actor Jane Lynch, comedian Janeane Garafolo, journalist Joshua Green, and Hollywood blogger Sharon Waxman.

What to Watch on Friday: 'Whale Wars' back for Season 4

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Coach Taylor worries he's losing control of his Lions, and Vince's arrogance (thanks, Dad!) creates tension with his teammates. Also, Tami suspects that a student is being neglected at home, and Becky enters a pageant.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - Season 4 kicks off with the Sea Shepherds launching a campaign against a new vessel, the Gojira. They quickly locate two harpoon ships before any whales are killed. A special with highlights of the first three seasons airs prior to this, at 8pm.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - Jamie gets banned from serving food at the West Adams Preparatory High School. Heartbroken and defeated, he makes an emotional plea to the kids' parents and gives the students an eye-opening look at what's really in the food they're eating.

MusiCares Person of the Year: Neil Young (9pm, VH1 Classic) - Singer-songwriter Neil Young is saluted for his artistic accomplishments and philanthropic endeavors. Young's songs are performed by John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne, Dave Matthews, Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Wilco, and others.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests are Shaun Donovan, Adam McKay, Melissa Harris-Perry, Larry King, and Rick Lazio.

What to Watch on Friday: Vince feels torn on 'FNL'

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Team secrets are exposed on a website during rivarly week. Also, Vince feels torn between Coach Taylor and his dad, and Billy makes a connection with Luke.

Dual Survival (9pm, Discovery) - The hosts take on the wet cloud forests of Panama with a broken lighter, a poncho, and a specimen jar.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests are national security expert Richard Clarke, actor Harry Shearer, journalist Reihan Salam, and financial columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin.

That's it. It's a bleak time. I can't even bring myself to recommend any of tonight's late night talk shows...

What to Watch on Friday: Galifianakis on 'Real Time with Bill Maher'

Supernatural (8pm, CW) - Two back-to-back episodes close out the sixth season tonight. In the finale, the memory-blocking wall inside of Sam's head that keeps his darkest memories from him comes crashing down and he struggles to deal with the consequences.

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Coach Taylor is praised in a popular magazine, a figure from Vince's past makes a demand, Luke digests the news about TMU, and Julie's return to college is delayed.

Flashpoint (8pm, CBS) - Mike fears his former mentor may be implicated in a case that involves corruption, drug dealers and an attempted gang execution.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Amy Chua and Zach Galifianakis are the interview guests tonight. Last time Galifianakis was on the show, he made headlines when he lit up and smoked a joint to illustrate his point about the legalization of marijuana. He also discussed his uncle Nick Galifianakis' failed senate run against Jesse Helms. I'm sure he's on tonight to promote 'Hangover 2,' but with him, you never know what else might come up. Other guests include author Reza Aslan, commentator Dylan Ratigan, and journalist Gillian Tett.  

20/20 (10pm, ABC) - A report on infomercials and the "as seen on TV" products they promote. Includes interviews with celebrity product spokespersons and infomercial entrepreneur A.J. Khubani.

What to Watch on Friday: 'Fringe' finale, bin Laden author on 'Real Time'

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Conflicts in the locker room force Coach Taylor to mediate. Also, Luke receives an offer from TMU, Buddy faces parenting woes, Tami works with a troubled teen, and a new player joins the Lions team.

Shark Tank (8pm, ABC) - Guest shark Mark Cuban tries to manipulate the system tonight by telling entrepreneurs they shouldn't negotiate with the other sharks if they hope to work with him. Sneeeeeeeaky.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - The third season concludes with the demise of a team member and Peter (Joshua Jackson, right) meeting his destiny head-on.

CSI: NY (9pm, CBS) - Mac and his partner (Peter Fonda) are targets of gunfire that rips through the crime lab, and they uncover a vendetta that is 17 years in the making.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Bill Maher interviews journalist and national security analyst Peter Bergen, who is writing a book on the manhunt for Osama bin Laden. Also, scholar Michael Eric Dyson, commentator David Frum, and journalist Jeremy Scahill.

Blue Bloods (10pm, CBS) - Family friends of the Reagans' are murdered and their drug-addicted son is the chief suspect. Meanwhile, Jamie's gun is stolen and he believes he is being set up for investigating the secretive Blue Templar police organization.

What to Watch on Friday: Royals dominate the schedule

If you didn't get enough royal wedding this morning, there are plenty of recaps airing tonight. CBS has 'The Royal Wedding: Modern Majesty' at 8pm, NBC devotes 'Dateline' to the wedding at 9pm, and ABC examines the day's events during '20/20' at 9pm (UPDATE: NBC's 'Dateline' will report live on the storm-ravaged South).

There's also the TV Guide Network's offering, 'Kathy Griffin's Insightful and Hilarious Take on the Royal Wedding' at 8pm and again at 9pm, and Joy Behar's 'Royal Wedding After Party' on CNN Headline News at 10pm. And expect CNN's Piers Morgan to devote his 8pm show to the wedding. Also, UNC-TV is showing the whole thing at 7pm. I'm sure there's more, especially on cable news networks and the wedding-obsessed E! and TLC networks.

Other stuff...

Shark Tank (8pm, ABC) - Or as I call it, 'Shark Tank!' I love this show. Jeff Foxworthy is back this week as a guest shark.

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Vince's no-account convict dad returns and causes trouble at home. Julie "connects" with a faculty member (sensing a pattern here), and Buddy is troubled by some news about his son.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - Olivia teams up with Sam Weiss (Kevin Corrigan) on an important mission.

Blue Bloods (10pm, CBS) - Danny investigates the murder of a tourist who was gunned down outside a popular Lower East Side restaurant.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests are Andrew Breitbart, Deval Patrick, Laura Flanders, Mark McKinnon, and John Waters.

What to Watch on Friday: Jeff Foxworthy joins 'Shark Tank'

Shark Tank (8pm, ABC) - Redneck millionaire Jeff Foxworthy (left) takes a seat with the Sharks  tonight. Also, Vincent Pastore, who played Big P-, uh, make that Salvatore Bonpensiero on 'The Sopranos,' pitches an idea.

Who Do You Think You Are (8pm, NBC) - In the second season finale, actress Ashley Judd explores her ancestry, zeroing in on her colorful paternal great grandmother and finding connections to the Union Army and America's first settlers.

Blue Bloods (10pm, CBS) - Linda's runway-model niece and a reporter are poisoned at a fashion show. Designer Marc Bouwer appears as himself.

Merlin (10pm, Syfy) - The Season 3 finale finds Camelot crumbling under the control of Queen Morgana and Morgause's immortal army. While Arthur, Lancelot, Elyan, and Percival prepare for a counterattack, Merlin rushes to retrieve the Excalibur sword from the Lake of Avalon. This season finale leaves you more time to watch ...

Camelot (10pm, Starz) - Arthur's pursuit of Guinevere proves unrewarding. Also, Leontes and Kay recruit a new warrior they believe they can trust, and Arthur and Merlin contemplate a dinner invitation to Morgan's castle.

Real Time with Bill Maher (10pm, HBO) - Guests are Colin Quinn, Katty Kay, Eliot Spitzer, and Andrew Sullivan.

Whatever, You're So Wrong (11pm, Hallmark) - Martha Stewart's daughter Alexis Stewart and Jennifer Koppelman Hutt in a new late night talk show where they tackle topics about everyday life as well as serious issues. The third season of 'Whatever, Martha!' (also with Alexis and Jennifer) debuts at 11:30pm. In that show, the two women basically critique old Martha Stewart episodes (and make fun of Martha herself).
