What to Watch on Tuesday: Fox guest stars and Nazi hunters

Glee (8pm, Fox) - This is not an endorsement, I'm just telling you it's still on the air... Sue starts a smear campaign to take down her biggest foe for the congressional seat, and Will and Shelby Corcoran encourage some friendly competition.

New Girl (9pm, Fox) - Also not really an endorsement, although last week's episode was slightly less annoying than usual... Tonight, the gang hosts Thanksgiving dinner at the loft and Jess invites a colleague (Justin Long) she's always had a crush on.

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - This is an endorsement! Burt's well-to-do parents (Lee Majors, Shirley Jones, left) are last minute Thanksgiving guests, but the Chances' decision to "borrow" someone else's house for the feast takes a bad turn when the real owners come home early.

Nazi Hunter: Elusive Justice (9pm, UNC-TV) - Another endorsement: Candice Bergen narrates this account of Nazi war criminals who evaded prosecution, including some who served the Allies as scientists and spies. The documentary explores why governments and institutions failed to prosecute and punish them, and those who took matters into their own hands. This repeats at 3 a.m. on UNC-MX and November 17 at 2 a.m. on UNC-TV.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Huge endorsement! Seriously, this show is so good. Tonight, Adam and Crosby land a new client and Adam has an uncomfortable (understatement!) run-in with Rachel, the possibly-skanky office assistant.

Unforgettable (10pm, CBS) - I abstain from editorializing because I've never actually seen a whole episode of this, but they do have Marilu Henner tonight... Carrie and Al investigate the murder of a teen who seemed to have no enemies. Elsewhere, Carrie seeks help from her estranged aunt (Henner, who also serves as a consultant for the show) to help probe her sister's murder.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Robin Roberts interviews Scotty McCreery

Vietnam in HD (9pm, History) - This three-part series explores the history of the Vietnam War that includes restored rare footage. Part one begins with the arrival of U.S. Combat forces in 1965 and the Battle of Ia Drang.

All Access Nashville (10pm, ABC) - Robin Roberts visits with a bunch of country music stars, including Scotty McCreery, who Roberts spent time with in Garner. She also talks to Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, and Keith Urban, in addition to Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of Sugarland, who are interviewed at the site of August's Indiana stage-collapse tragedy.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Seth stays with Amber after his release from rehab, but the arrangement soon wears on her. (If someone had told me in previous seasons that Amber would one day be my favorite character on this show, I'd have questioned their sanity). Also, Crosby worries about Jabbar having a new father figure when Jasmine gets serious with her boyfriend. (If someone had told me last season that I'd still be hating Jasmine this season, I'd have totally believed them).

Sons of Anarchy (10pm, FX) - Jax and Tara taste life after SAMCRO but discover just how hard it is to really escape it.

Covert Affairs (10pm, USA) - Annie tries to turn a money launderer's wife (Nina Kronjager) into a CIA asset while hunting down her husband. But the woman catches Annie following her and demands to meet with Arthur, whom she met when she was a Stasi agent.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Bieber on 'Dancing,' 'New Girl' back after a break

Dancing with the Stars (9pm, ABC) - Tonight's results show includes performances by Justin Bieber, Boyz II Men, and Christina Perri.

New Girl (9pm, Fox) - This show is back tonight after a few weeks off, and I'm sad to admit I didn't miss it a bit. Tonight: Nick lands a date with an attractive coworker (Lake Bell) but then Jess (Zooey Deschanel, left) accidentally walks in on him naked and her laughter kills his self-confidence. As I'm sure it would for anyone.

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - While camped out on the lawn due to a termite infestation, the Chances learn that Hope unveiled a violent streak at day care, and now they're afraid she inherited her mother's serial-killer gene.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Kristina plans a family night that doesn't go as expected, and Crosby worries he'll be replaced by Jasmine's new boyfriend.

Covert Affairs (10pm, USA) - In the winter premiere, Annie feels lonely during some downtime following a failed mission in Venice.

Ultimate Factories (10pm, National Geographic Channel) - The Season 5 opener visits a BMW plant in South Carolina for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the X3.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Sedaris, George Harrison, and horror stories

Up All Night (8pm, NBC) - Reagan and Chris look for a family car that's not too boring, and Chris goes into negotiating mode. Elsewhere, Ava wants to cover more serious topics on her show but isn't happy about the work that goes into doing it.

Suburgatory (8:30pm, ABC) - Tessa's unexpected attraction to her BMOC neighbor gives her the willies. Also, George wonders if he's up to the demanding suburban standards of throwing a successful barbecue.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Jay  helps Manny sell wrapping paper for a school fundraiser and Phil and Gloria loses Jay's beloved dog.

George Harrison: Living in a Material World (9pm, HBO) - Part one of Martin Scorsese's sprawling two-part documentary on George Harrison. Tonight covers the early years with the Beatles and features archival footage and remarks from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. The conclusion airs tomorrow night. Check out the trailer from HBO.

Law & Order: SVU (10pm, NBC) - A 13-year-old girl won't reveal who got her pregnant, leading police to suspect she was raped. The suspects include the son of a noteworthy political couple (Kyle MacLachlan and Paige Turco), as well as the son of their housekeeper.

American Horror Story (10pm, FX) - A new series about a Boston couple and their teen daughter who move into an extremely haunted Los Angeles mansion. Tonight's premiere episode is creepy and weird. Next week's episode is terrifying. Read more about why I can only watch this show during daylight hours.

What to Watch on Tuesday: The end of Prohibition!

Prohibition (8pm, UNC-TV) - In the conclusion to this three-part documentary series, Ken Burns looks at the factors that led to the end of Prohibition, including the criminalization of alcohol which fed large profits into the coffers of criminal organizations and turned gangsters such as Al Capone into celebrities. Also, wealthy Pauline Sabine, who encouraged the repeal of the 18th Amendment and brought together women of all classes who supported her position.

NCIS (8pm, CBS) - The team is surprised to find a connection between the murder of a Navy lieutenant and McGee's grandmother.

Viking Wilderness (9pm, Animal Planet) - A new series tracking wildlife in remote parts of northern Europe beings with musk oxen butting heads to woo females; wolves and bears fighting over an elk carcass, and bears brawling for territorial rights.

New Girl (9pm, Fox) - Nick lands a date with an attractive coworker (Lake Bell), but then Jess accidentally walks in on him naked, making his self-confidence plummet to an all-time low.

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - Burt flashes back to a decades-old kidnapping story when the ponytailed drifter (Sean Bridgers) who was involved pays the Chances an unexpected visit.

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Zeke lands a commercial, while Camille ponders her own achievements. Also, Crosby and Adam don't see eye-to-eye over a parenting issue, and Drew's first date goes awry.

Body of Proof (10pm, ABC) - A young nanny is killed in a hit-and-run accident, and her 5-year-old charge, who requires medication, is kidnapped. Bud's interrogation of the prime suspect in the crime takes an unfortunate turn that puts him in jeopardy.

What to Watch on Tuesday: 'New Girl' adds new roommate

Take a deep breath. No new premieres tonight, but still plenty of fresh episodes.

Ringer (8pm, CW) - Bridget discovers a possible clue that could lead to Siobhan's killer, and uncovers intriguing information about Andrew.

Frontline (9pm, UNC-TV) - The story of the Ground Zero Mosque is told from the perspective of Sharif El-Gamal, the real estate developer behind it, as well as the victims' relatives and anti-Islam activists who oppose it.

New Girl (9pm, Fox) - This new sitcom opened to gangbuster ratings last week, which is cool. I just want Zooey Deschanel's character to be a little less totally helpless, so I'm hoping some tweaking begins tonight (Nerdy does not have to equal stupid, okay writers? Okay.). Tonight, the guys help Jess get her stuff out of her ex's apartment, and we meet Winston (Lamorne Morris), an old roommate who returns from playing basketball overseas and moves back into the loft. The Damon Wayans Jr character is out (you can find him over at "Happy Endings" on ABC, Wednesday nights at 9:30).

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - Sabrina can't keep her family hidden any longer after Burt learns a secret about them, so she introduces the Chances to her father (Stephen Root).

Parenthood (10pm, NBC) - Amber enjoys her independence while Sarah tries to maintain a connection to her daughter. Also, Jasmine wants to start datint but wonders about her role in the family (hint: You didn't marry Crosby so you aren't in the family!).

Body of Proof (10pm, ABC) - A millionaire's new trophy wife is killed during a family deer-hunting expedition, and Megan immediately suspects and accuses the husband, which leads him to use his influence to get Megan pulled from the case.

NCIS (8pm, CBS) - In the ninth season opener, Tony's secret assignment for the SECNAV leads to an NCIS agent's death and leaves Tony and Gibbs to solve the mystery of how the tragedy occurred.

Dancing with the Stars (8pm, ABC) - Harry Connick Jr will perform on tonight's results show. A dancer will be eliminated.

NCIS: Los Angeles (9pm, CBS) - In the Season 3 opener, the team searches for Hetty in Romania, and Callen learns something new about his past.

New Girl (9pm, Fox) - After a bad breakup, goofy Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) moves in with three single guys. Is it as good as we all want it to be?

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - In the second season premiere, Jimmy is surprised to learn that he was once a talented singer until an accident involving a golf club shattered his dreams, so he enlists his family to help him get his creative juices flowing again. Pop singer Greyson Chance guest stars as a teenage Jimmy.

Unforgettable (10pm, CBS) - A new show about a former detective (Poppy Montgomery) with a flawless memory consults on homicide cases. In the opener, Carrie helps New York police investigate her neighbor's murder.  Adrienne's take.

Body of Proof (10pm, ABC) - In the Season 2 premiere, Megan's investigation into the death of a middle-aged man whose car plunged over an embankment leads her to a "Desperate Housewives" type cul-de-sac that's loaded with suspects.

What to Watch on Tuesday: 'Good Wife' and others end seasons

NCIS (8pm, CBS) - Season eight ends with team members in grave danger as they confront the Port-to-Port killer.

One Tree Hill (8pm, CW) - In the eighth season finale, Haley and Brooke get ready to operate Karen's old cafe and Chase takes off for the Air Force.

Raising Hope (9pm, Fox) - In the first season finale, the Chances recall the events of the year Jimmy turned 18, including Maw Maw kicking them out of the house, Jimmy's goth phase, and Burt and Virginia's belated entry into adulthood.

The Good Wife (10pm, CBS) - In the Season 2 finale, Alicia and Kalinda temporarily put aside their strained relationship to help prove that a client is innocent of murder. Also, in light of Alicia's separation from Peter, Will reevaluates his relationship with Tammy.

The Voice (10pm, NBC) - I hate this 10pm timeslot for "The Voice." I think it's no coincidence the show's big ratings drop last week coincided with its move to 10. Tonight, part two of the battle rounds as teammates are pitted against each other, with one being eliminated from each pairing.

Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel (10pm, HBO) - Included tonight, a look at the Yankees and Rex Sox efforts to help Bridget Johnson, who lost her leg in an accident, and a profile of broadcaster Bob Uecker.

Also airing season finales tonight: "NCIS: LA" (9pm) on CBS and "Hellcats" (9pm) on The CW.

What to Watch on Tuesday: Jaime Pressly guests on 'Raising Hope'

Dancing with the Stars (9pm, ABC) - Performances by Adele and Michael Bolton, and someone is eliminated. The 8pm show is a recap -- don't fall for it!

Raising Hope (9pm, Fox) - Burt and Virginia think the marriage of a neighboring couple (Jaime Pressly, Ethan Suplee) is in trouble when Hope's baby monitor transmits their conversations. (Note: Pressly played Joy on "My Name is Earl" and Suplee played Earl's brother Randy). Meanwhile, Hope and Maw Maw take part in Howdy's Market commercial competition with a rival store.

Frontline: Kill/Capture (9pm, UNC-TV) - An examination of the U.S. war strategy in Afghanistan, featuring remarks from Gen. David Petraeus (USA), the USFOR-A commander, and his commanders. The report also travels into the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region to meet Taliban militia leaders and the U.S. Special Forces who are targeting them.

The Voice (10pm, NBC) - Tonight begins part 1 the battles in which coaches pit two of their team members against each other in a duet which ultimately whittles the teams down to four each. Reba McEntire, Monica, Sia Furler, and Adam Blackstone serve as advisors to the coaches. Like that this is down to one hour, but not sure about the 10 p.m. timeslot.

The Good Wife (10pm, CBS) - The firm defends an adultery website owner, the prime suspect in the murder of one of the site's users. Meanwhile, Alicia confronts Kalinda about her one-night stand with Peter, which prompts Kalinda to consider leaving the firm.

What to Watch on Tuesday: 'The Voice' is calling

Black in Latin America: Cuba, The Next Revolution (8pm, UNC-TV) - A tour of Cuba explores its culture, religion, politics, and music, and how they are linked to slave labor imported to work in the sugar industry during the 19th century. Also examined, race and racism since the 1959 revolution led by Fidel Castro.

Glee (8pm, Fox) - A special 90-minute episode that focuses on the music of Lady Gaga. Can it be worse than last week? They'll try!

The Voice (9pm, NBC) - As much as NBC has hyped this show, in which singers battle for a recording contract, it better be a hit. Tonight is part one of the blind auditions. Singers are hidden from view and judged solely on their voice. Coaches include Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Hosted by Carson Daly and from the same producers who brought you 'Big Brother' and 'Survivor.' You can watch a preview of the show -- it actually looks pretty good!

Dancing with the Stars (9pm, ABC) - Someone is eliminated, but not before performances from New Kids on the Block, the Backstreet Boys, and 'American Idol' castoff Pia Toscano.

Deadliest Catch (9pm, Discovery) - Jake Harris learns how to drive the Cornelia Marie, and a dangerous situation unfolds aboard the Wizard as a crew mate gets caught in the line.

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - Burt and Virginia sleep-train Hope, and Jimmy's new girlfriend introduces him to a strange beverage that takes him on a frightening trip.
