The Hero (8pm, TNT) - There are three -- THREE! -- adventure-themed reality competition shows debuting on cable tonight. Reality Competition Adventure Show #1: We think this new reality competition series may have the edge because it's hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (shown here comforting a contestant). For "The Hero," ordinary folk battle to prove they're heroic through various tests. The series opens with nine strangers moving into their high-end Panamanian penthouse. 72 Hours (9pm, TNT) - Reality Competition Adventure Show #2: Also on TNT, this show has three teams competing to find a briefcase full of money in just three days. In tonight's premiere, which features Christian McCullen from Clinton, North Carolina, the players must battle the elements and rough waters of Fiji's Yasawa Islands to find the stashed $100,000. "72 Hours" is hosted by Brandon Johnson.
Race to the Scene (9pm, Reelz) - Reality Competition Adventure Show #3: Former action star Dolph Lundgren hosts this one, in which contestants race to and from iconic movie locations and compete in stunts inspired by blockbuster movies. Tonight's premiere incorporates "Forrest Gump" and "Independence Day."
Burn Notice (9pm, USA) - In the Season 7 premiere, a terrorist recruits Michael to help steal equipment from a defense facility. Elsewhere, Sam and Jesse look for answers after learning Michael's life may be in danger.
North Carolina Weekend (9pm, UNC-TV) - Tonight's show features segments on the Emancipation Proclamation on display at the North Carolina History Museum, and a Bob Garner report from McLean's Ole Time Cafe in Zebulon.
Graceland (10pm, USA) - In the premiere of this new series, FBI rookie Mike Warren is assigned to Graceland, a beachfront mansion where agents from multiple law enforcement groups work and live. Mike learns the ropes with help from star agent Paul Briggs, who has a unique philosophy on the job and is fiercely protective of Graceland. Here's Adrienne's review of "Graceland."
Hannibal (10pm, NBC) - Dr. Gideon (Eddie Izzard) escapes from prison and sets out to murder the psychiatrists who profiled him, and Dr. Chilton is questioned in the wake of Gideon's flight. Meanwhile, Hannibal misleads the team in a scheme to bring Will and Gideon together.
In the Flesh (10pm, BBC America) - A new three-part series zombie series from the BBC centering on a "re-animated" teenager who returns to his town after a zombie apocalypse. Part two airs Friday at 10 and the conclusion is Saturday night at 10.
