Pick Six: Week 14

Tags: ACC Now | Pick Six

We opened up the Pick Six to everyone last week and two commenters, JPD Ohio and ApexJacket, went 5-1.

JPD e-mailed me with his record to which I responded, "You beat me."

His response: "No offense, JP, but you don't exactly set the bar very high."

It's on now, peeps, after going 2-4 (Tudor went 0-6) I'm fired up for Week 14.

Same deal as Week 13, leave your picks in the comments. If you win, you get a shoutout next week.

Tudor, Gville Gatr and I all went 3-3 last week, which no doubt gives ACC Now's No. 1 commenter some measure of satisfaction.

Everyone gets to be the guest picker this week. Leave your picks in the comments. Whoever picks the most winners gets a shoutout in next week's finale.

Even at 5-1 I can't win a week of the Pick Six. Week 11 guest Glenn Petty, of Today's ACC Headlines, matched my season-best 5-1 record.

Commenter extraordinaire Gville Gatr gets the honor of beating Team N&O in Week 12. I'd use his real name (Chris) but that would ruin the character.

Send me an e-mail if you want to take a run in the final two weeks.

Pick Six: Week 11

Remember when Duke and State used to play?

If you need a win, play Team ACC Now in the Pick Six. Tudor and I lost again last week.

Zack Mansfield went 4-2, I went 3-3 and Tudor was 2-4. Not good.

Glenn Petty, of Today's ACC Headlines, gets a shot of confidence this week in an ACC-heavy schedule.

I have a guest picker lined up for Week 12, blog favorite GvilleGatr, but we're wide open after that. Send me an e-mail and there's a good chance you can brag to all your friends that you know more about football than the ACC Now fools.

It's Revenge Week on the Pick Six, the toughest Pick Six contest in the country. (OK, so maybe it's the only one.)

It's impossible to figure out the ACC. The slaves to punishment that we are, the show must go on. Tudor (4-2) and I (3-3) both beat Eric Koch (2-4), a transplanted Hokies fan in New Jersey, in Week 9.

Zack Mansfield, a transplanted UNC fan in New York City, gets the honors for Week 10. Check out Zack's rock star blog.

Pick Six: Week 9

More ACC games rule the Pick Six fun in Week 9.

I had my best week ever, sadly at 4-2, which was not good enough to beat Patrick Stevens, of the Washington Times, who went 5-1.

This week loyal reader Eric Koch, a Virginia Tech fan from Edison, N.J., is the guest picker.

If you'd like to be the guest picker, send me an e-mail and state your case.

Finally a full week of ACC games and they dominate the Pick Six card in Week 8.

Tudor won Week 7, going 4-2, edging James Curle of Yet Another N.C. State Blog (3-3). I was a brutal 1-5 and am in danger of getting voted off my own contest.

The guest picker this week is Patrick Stevens, the Maryland beat writer for the Washington Times. If something happens with the Terps, Stevens has it covered. Check out his D1scourse blog, which also has his Week 8 picks in detail.

If you want to be the guest picker, send me an e-mail.

Pick Six: Week 7

After going with a Tar Heel guest picker last week, it's only fair to go with a Wolfpacker this week.

James Curle, Yet Another N.C. State Blog author and all-around renaissance man, joins us. He's inspired to match Tar Heel Fan's victory over Team ACC Now from Week 6

Pick Six: Week 6

Big ups to Team ACC Now, we finally didn't lose to a guest picker. Caulton Tudor and special guest picker Joe Ovies tied at 3-3 last week. And like baseball, tie goes to the runner.

The week's guest is the creator/author of the excellent Tar Heel Fan blog.

The special guest picker is Joe Ovies of 850 the Buzz. Remember to watch Low Rent Sports Talk Theatre and The Podcast.

Last week's guest, Darren LeRose, kicked Team ACC Now with a 5-1 record.
