DURHAM — Duke football coach David Cutcliffe put to rest any speculation he’d be interested in the Tennessee job.
“To put an end to any speculation, I’m at Duke. I’m staying at Duke. And [Tennessee] is not even part of the thought process,” Cutcliffe said at his weekly news conference on Tuesday.
Phillip Fulmer won't be coaching the Tennessee Volunteers in 2009. Expect the name of Duke's David Cutcliffe, a close friend and former longtime assistant under Fulmer, at the very least, to get mentioned as Tennessee AD Mike Hamilton starts looking for a replacement.
