What to Watch on Thursday: Farewell to 'Perfect Couples'

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - One of the nine finalists is eliminated. Don't forget to keep track of all things McCreery at our Scotty Watch home base.

The Vampire Diaries (8pm, CW) - TVD finally returns! Tonight, Isobel arrives unexpectedly and her visit upsets Jenna. Also, Matt informs the sheriff that his sister was killed by a vampire.

Perfect Couples (8:30pm, NBC) - The series finale for this underrated and underappreciated sitcom has Vance and Amy getting cold feet at their wedding (no cliffhangers, please). Meanwhile, Dave and Julia prepare their toasts for the weddings, and Leigh exerts her power as wedding planner while Rex tries to make himself part of the big day. I'll miss you, guys!

The Killing (9pm, AMC) - If you missed Sunday's premiere, catch it here.

LisaRaye: The Real McCoy (9pm, TVOne) - In the second season opener, LisaRaye goes to Puerto Rico but her assistant loses some of her possessions.

The Bear Whisperer Returns (10pm, Animal Planet) - A series following wildlife specialist Steve Searles as he protects tourists from black bears in Mammoth Lakes, California. In this first episode, he has to make a tough decision about a wounded bear. Okay, right there, I can tell you I am not watching this show.

Real Housewives of New York (10pm, Bravo) - Season 4 begins with Ramona hosting a rooftop cocktail party. Single mother and entrepreneur Cindy Barshop joins the cast, replacing Bethenny Frankel.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl (10:30pm, Showtime) - Season 4 begins with Belle entertaining a new business proposition and dealing with an unwelcome houseguest.

Gigolos (11pm, Showtime) - A new reality series offering a peek into the lives of male escorts in Las Vegas. In tonight's opener, one of the men scores a job with a teacher looking for some after-school romance.

What to Watch on Thursday: Two will exit 'Idol'

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Casey's dramatic "save" last week means not one but two contestants will be voted off tonight. Is Scotty McCreery safe?? Also, Fantasia, will.i.am, and Jamie Foxx perform live.

The Big Bang Theory (8pm, CBS) - The guys become sleuths to find out who hacked Sheldon's online game account.

Perfect Couples (8:30, NBC) - Vance befriends Amy's exes and ends up worried that he may someday join their ranks. Also, Rex wants a peek at Leigh's ex files. I think there's only one more episode of this show after tonight, which is a real shame.

Grey's Anatomy (9pm, ABC) - It's the episode we've all been dreading. It's 'Grey's Anatomy: The Musical.' I wish I was kidding.

Mobbed (9pm, Fox) - Howie Mandell hosts a show in which unsuspecting people are greeted by flash mobs during special occasions, such as a wedding proposal, a pregnancy, and a hiring.

The Mentalist (10pm, CBS) - A man who believed he had been abducted by aliens at one time is found murdered and his body is stolen from the coroner's van.

What to Watch on Thursday: Deathbed deceit on 'Community'

Community (8pm, NBC) - Painkiller-addicted Pierce (Chevy Chase) pretends to believe he's dying so that he can bequeath gifts to the study group. But in reality, he's hoping to exact revenge because the group hasn't been treating him with respect. Pierce has definitely taken a dark turn this season, but it's still fun to watch him mess with everyone's head in this episode. Evil genius, indeed.

Perfect Couples (8:30pm, NBC) - Dave wants to feel more manly after attending a "Mad Men" party and Julia obliges. Also, Leigh's cooking gives the gang food poisoning. All of the NBC sitcoms are new tonight.

Bones (9pm, Fox) - When a wedding planner's remains are found in a tanning bed on Valentine's Day, Brennan and Booth find the key to the case may be found on the victim's computer.

CSI (9pm, CBS)  Ray testifies against serial killer Nate Haskell. Meanwhile, Nick receives a call from troubled teen Jason McCann (Justin Bieber) to warn him of impending danger.

Private Practice (10pm, ABC) - Addison returns home to Connecticut for the funeral of her mother. Sam and friends tag along for her breakdown.

Fairly Legal (10pm, USA) - A man who was hit by a truck seeks a settlement with an insurance company, but the man's wife has her own grievance.

What to Watch on Thursday: Time to give "Perfect Couples" a shot

Perfect Couples (8:30pm, NBC) - I have decided this new sitcom about three messed up couples is unfairly maligned, so tonight I encourage everyone to give it a shot. It's not perfect (ha), but it has some solid crack-up moments. In this episode, Dave and Julia deal with jealousy after Dave meets a woman while hiking and Julia hits it off with a coworker. Not to be left out, Vance and Amy play games to make each other jealous. Also, Rex has trouble talking to Leigh about their financial troubles.

The First 48 (9pm, A&E) - A Charlotte man is stabbed to death in his car.

Royal Pains (9pm, USA) - A major storm approaches the Hamptons and Evan goes to extremes in his preparations. Hank encounters a park ranger (Jim Gaffigan) on a dangerous mission to reproduce side effects he once experienced after being struck by lightning.

Parks & Recreation (9:30pm, NBC) - Tom gets revenge on Ron (who is dating Tom's ex) by going out with Ron's ex-wife Tammy, who is played by Ron's real life wife Megan Mullally. Got it?

30 Rock (10pm, NBC) - Jack and a very pregnant Avery vacation in Canada, but when Avery goes into labor, the two desperately scramble to not give birth to a Canadian. Also, Tracy gets his EGOT but learns it comes with overwhelming demands.

Private Practice (10pm, ABC) - Charlotte's attacker (Nicholas Brendon) arrives at St. Ambrose in critical condition after being injured by his girlfriend.

What to Watch on Thursday: "Parks & Recreation" returns on NBC

Community (8pm, NBC) - Shirley (left) has big news for the group now that her ex-husband (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) is back in her life. "The Office," "30 Rock," and "Outsourced" are also all new tonight.

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Auditions continue. Check back on Friday for our take on the new judges.

Perfect Couples (8:30pm, NBC) - This is officially the premiere of this new NBC sitcom, but they already aired an episode several weeks ago, right? It's about three sets of couples struggling with their relationships.

Royal Pains (9pm, USA) - The show returns with Hank and Evan learning more about Eddie after his heart attack.

Piers Morgan Tonight (9pm, CNN) - Ricky Gervais is the guest.

Parks and Recreation (9:30pm, NBC) - We're so happy to welcome this show back for Season 3! Tonight, Leslie (Amy Poehler) enlists Ann's help in persuading auditors (Rob Lowe and Adam Scott) to give the Parks Department more money. Elsewhere, Ron and Andy start coaching youth basketball and April has some surprising news.

Fairly Legal (10pm, USA) - A new show that fits nicely in the USA family. This one is about a lawyer-turned-mediator who tries to save her recently deceased father's firm while dealing with her own personal problems. It's enjoyable and the lead (Sarah Shahi) is likable.

What to Watch on Monday: NBC has 'Sing-Off' finale and new sitcom debut

The Sing-Off (8pm, NBC) - The  two-hour finale (featuring judge Ben Folds) reveals the winning group and also features some surprise performances.

Million Dollar Money Drop (8pm, Fox) - The series debut of a game show in which contestants first receive $1 million in cash, then must answer seven questions correctly to keep the money from dropping down a chute. Hosted by Kevin Pollak.

The Closer (9pm, TNT) - In part one of a two-part episode, the team's holiday plans are potentially ruined when a long-standing feud results in a stabbing on Christmas Eve and the death of a patriarch. Brenda is especially irritated, as her parents have arrived bearing special news.

Men of a Certain Age (10pm, TNT) - Joe dates two women at the same time and is at odds with how to handle the situation, and Owen tries to stop his father from undermining his authority at the dealership.

Perfect Couples (10:00pm, NBC) - NBC moved up the premiere date of his new sitcom pilot to cash in on the popularity of "The Sing-Off." The series follows the experiences of three couples trying to figure out what makes the perfect relationship.

Black Ops Brothers: Howe & Howe Tech (10pm, Discovery) - A Ripsaw demonstration for the Army is a success, and a firefighting robot is almost broken ahead of a test for a fire department.

NBC's midseason shows (VIDEO)

NBC's mid-season schedule has a little Hmm... ("Harry's Law") and a dash of Huh?!? ("The Cape").

"The Cape" may surprise us all, but it looks downright silly. A cop is framed for a crime and disappears, presumed dead by his family and coworkers. He then takes on the identity of a comic book hero to fight crime anonymously. Okaaaaay... "Harry's Law" is another legal drama from David E. Kelley. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of his shows ("Boston Legal," "Private Practice," "Ally McBeal") and this one could be good -- it has Kathy Bates, after all. Kelley isn't afraid to build shows around older actors ("Boston Legal" starred William Shatner and Candice Bergen) and Bates looks good as a burned out, hot shot patent lawyer who starts over as a defense attorney. This feels like a show I will like, but one I maybe shouldn't get attached to. (VIDEOS BELOW)
