Durham legislators talk legislation Wednesday

The Durham People's Alliance is holding a public forum for Durham County legislators Wednesday night.

State Sen. Floyd McKissick and Reps. Larry Hall, Paul Leubke and Winkie Wilkins have confirmed they expect to be on hand to talk and take questions on the just-past General Assembly session and whatever legislative issues the audience has on its mind.

The forum runs 7-9 at the Stanford L. Warren branch library, 1201 Fayetteville St.

Durham candidates face off tonight

Two General Assembly candidates, Democrat Paul Luebke and Libertarian Sean Haugh, face off at 6 tonight at the Southwest Branch Library, 3605 Shannon Road. The public is invited.

Haugh and Luebke are rivals for the House District 30 seat, which represents a wedge of Durham County extending from Walltown west to the Orange County line and from Little River Road south to U.S. 15-501.
