A new 'Our State' season on UNC-TV

The sixth season of "Our State" begins tonight on UNC-TV.

In tonight's episode, Chapel Hill artist Patrick Dougherty constructs sculptures out of saplings, then pumpkin-carving in Bynum, and D.G. Martin's visit to Weaverville.

The show airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. on UNC-TV.

"Our State" offers Durham wildlife and a master violin maker

Tonight's episode of "Our State" on UNC-TV features a tour of Durham's Piedmont Wildlife Center and the Triangle Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic, where they help educate the public to the needs of wildlife.

The show will also have a special profile of renowned luthier, John Sipe of Charlotte, and explore the 900+ mile Mountains to Sea Trail and meet one of its founders, Allen de Hart.

"Our State" airs at 8pm on UNC-TV.

UNC-TV premieres fifth season of "Our State"

If you're already a fan of "Our State" the magazine, you'll no doubt love "Our State" the TV show. In fact, lots of people do already.

In collaboration with the 75 year-old magazine, UNC-TV is debuting the fifth season of the Emmy Award-winning show Thursday night (October 8) at 8pm, with an episode on one of North Carolina's most popular tourist attractions: Tweetsie Railroad.

The episode will also feature segments on beachscape painter John Silver and The Brasstown Dancers.
