Preview of Oprah's interview with Rielle Hunter

In Rielle Hunter's interview with Oprah Winfrey, Hunter says Elizabeth Edwards did not know the full extent of her relationship with John Edwards until after John Edwards' "20/20" interview with Bob Woodruff. (Read more here.)

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a clip on Oprah's website, previewing some of the other questions Oprah asks her.

"The Oprah Winfrey Show" interview will air today at 4pm on WTVD.

Reminder: Rielle Hunter interview on Oprah airs Thursday

A reminder that Oprah Winfrey's interview with Rielle Hunter will air tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, April 29).

Oprah traveled to Charlotte earlier this month for the interview with the former mistress of John Edwards and said Hunter was "really forthcoming, she was very open, she was very candid, and I would have to say, I felt pretty truthful."

Oprah has interviewed Elizabeth Edwards twice and also interviewed John Edwards' former aide Andrew Young, who published a book this year about his time working for the Edwards family and about the Rielle Hunter scandal.

"The Oprah Winfrey Show" airs at 4pm on WTVD.

Date set for Oprah's interview with Rielle Hunter

According to promos on today's "Oprah Winfrey Show," Oprah's interview with John Edwards' mistress Rielle Hunter (left) will air next Thursday, April 29.

Oprah was in Charlotte recently interviewing Hunter, and said she found her "genuine" and "authentic."

We'll see...

"The Oprah Winfrey Show" airs Monday - Friday on WTVD at 4pm.

Oprah interviews Rielle Hunter in Charlotte

Oprah Winfrey was in Charlotte yesterday interviewing the former mistress of John Edwards for an upcoming episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

Oprah told the WCNC television station in Charlotte that she talked to Rielle Hunter for about two and a half hours and that Hunter was, "genuine, I thought, and authentic. And I think we'll see a side of her that certainly, I've never known. And I enjoyed the conversation, really."

Rielle Hunter to appear on "Oprah"

Harpo Productions has announced that John Edwards' former mistress Rielle Hunter will be appearing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

No date for the show has been announced. Don't worry -- we'll keep you updated.

Hunter recently gave an interview to GQ magazine that did very little to improve her public image, so perhaps she's going on "Oprah" to try to change that (didn't work for Leno!).

The photo here is one of the creepier ones that ran with the GQ article.

What to Watch on Sunday: Oprah brings us Life

NCAA Basketball (WRAL) - It's going on pretty much all day again, folks. Grab your bracket
and tune in. Duke plays California at 5:20pm.

Life (8pm, Discovery) - In the opener of this new 11-part nature series, you'll get extreme stories of survival involving cheetahs, monkeys, and ... flies? A second episode at 9pm features reptils and amphibians. Narrated by Oprah Winfrey. Watch in high def.

Celebrity Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - Tonight's challenge involves building a storefront to relaunch the "Kodak Moments" campaign. One star falls ill and another star falls diva.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (10pm, ABC) - British chef Jamie Oliver is on a quest to slim down America's kids and he starts in Huntington, West Virginia --a place considered the unhealthiest place in America.

Breaking Bad (10pm, AMC) - In the third season opener, Walt deals with the aftermath of last season's plane crash and tries to win back his angry wife. Read more about the new season.

Kirstie Alley's Big Life (10pm, A&E) - Kirstie Alley launches her new reality series in which she once again tries to lose weight while raising her two teens. A second episode follows at 10:30pm.

What to Watch on Saturday: Zach Galifianakis hosts SNL

Parenthood (8pm, NBC) - If you missed Tuesday night's debut, please check out this repeat. It starts a little slow (and I got a "Brothers & Sisters" vibe during a couple of the "squabbling siblings" scenes) but it ends strong. And the cast is terrific.

Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals (8pm,  HBO) - A strong new documentary on the rivalry and friendship of NBA Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special (9pm, ABC) - Another worthy repeat. If you missed this on Wednesday because there were about nine thousand other things on at 10pm, you can try again. Oprah has Oscar winners interviewing other Oscar winners. Glenn Close chats with Michael Douglas about boiled rabbits.

Saturday Night Live (11:30pm, NBC) - NC homeboy Zach Galifianakis (right) hosts SNL (musical guests Vampire Weekend), and if the writers give him half a chance, he should kill. Zach stole all his scenes in last summer's hit comedy film "The Hangover," in which the former NC State English major read a hilarious toast about his "one-man wolf pack." He also co-stars with Jason Schwartzman and Ted Danson in HBO's comedy "Bored to Death."  I hope all of Wilkesboro will be watching.

What to Watch on Wednesday: "Nip/Tuck" finale and Kathy Griffin on "L&O: SVU"

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Lots going on in this ep, but I'm most looking forward to Phil facing his fear of the dark and of bugs as he considers an adventure under the house with Luke.

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - As they did with Monday night's "Law & Order," NBC is offering back-to-back "SVU" to fill the Leno void at 10pm. In the first episode, Kathy Griffin guest stars as the leader of a lesbian rights group who assists the detectives as they investigate the murder of a member. And this should get viewers -- Griffin's character shares a kiss with Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay. In the second episode, Benson and Stabler look into the murder of young prostitutes, and Benson gets emotionally involved when one of the victims, played by Mischa Barton, survives her attack.

The Locator (10pm, WeTV) - Troy Dunn's "track 'em down" show moves to a new night and a new time (I personally liked the Saturday at 8pm slot, but WeTV didn't ask me). In tonight's one-hour season premiere, a young woman searches for the father she hasn't seen since she was three years old, and a mother searches for the daughter she gave up for adoption 40 years ago.

Nip/Tuck (10pm, FX) - "Nip/Tuck" ends tonight after seven over-the-top years on the air. In this final episode, Sean (Dylan Walch) and Christian (Julian McMahon), at right, reflect on their relationship and also remove a curious scar from an elderly Japanese adult film star. There's plenty of personal drama surrounding the guys, as usual, but it should be a satisfying ending for fans.

Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special (10pm, ABC) - Oprah has Oscar winners interviewing other Oscar winners.

Roger Ebert unveils his new voice on "Oprah"

First of all, if you haven't read Chris Jones's stunning profile of Roger Ebert in February's Esquire magazine, read it right now.

Then you'll understand how amazing it is that Ebert is appearing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" tomorrow afternoon and that he'll be unveiling his new computerized voice, Roger Jr.

Andrew Young to appear on "Oprah" today

Andrew Young, former aide to John Edwards, will appear on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" today.

Young is the author of the Edwards tell-all, "The Politician" and despite what anyone may try to tell you, not Elizabeth Edwards' BFF.

Young has been spending a lot of time lately in the Orange County court house, battling over a "personal" (i.e. "sex") tape in his possession, which allegedly features John Edwards with his former mistress Rielle Hunter.

It's a good thing those contempt charges didn't keep him out of Chicago...
