If you've been paying attention to art and show flyers around these parts the past few years, you're probably familiar with the work of Paul Friedrich (of "Onion Head Monster" fame) -- here's one of his show flyers from a few years back. Friedrich is also one of the subjects of a documentary called "3 the Hard Way," made by local artist/filmmaker Robert King, who is battling an inoperable brain tumor.
To help King out, several dozen local artists including Friedrich have contributed works for a silent-auction benefit show to raise money. That happens Saturday night. For details on the when and the where and the why, see the story in Friday's paper.
