If you've been thinking about turning your spare change into holiday cash, Coinstar is offering a generous deal right now.
If you don't mind substituting the cash for a gift card, you can make a 25 percent profit by pouring those extra pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters into a Coinstar machine.
That's a pretty nice way to stretch your holiday budget but, of course, there's fine print to the deal, which runs through Dec. 9.

Starting Friday -- and possibly earlier -- the clearance section will have markdowns of up to 75 percent off.
Old Navy is at it again with its popular $1 sales.
This time around, flip flops are $1 a pair on Saturday, June 30.
The sale is on solid color flip flops only. And you must purchase them in an Old Navy store. No online sales for this deal.
Old Navy has got tank tops on sale right now for $2 each. That's cheap enough to get one in each color.
The sale -- valid in-store only -- runs through Monday but I'm guessing the selection will dwindle quickly as word gets out.
Not all styles are $2 so keep an eye out at the register.
The daily deal site Groupon is offering a 50 percent off deal at Old Navy.
For $10, you get $20 to spend at Old Navy.
In the race to get shoppers to part with their money, Old Navy is running back-to-back sales before Black Friday.
From noon until 5 p.m. TODAY, all adult graphic T-shirts will be 75 perent off. (excludes clearance)
From noon until 5 p.m. TUESDAY, all adult long-sleeve T-shirts will be 75 percent off. (exludes graphic T-shirts and clearance)
From noon until 5 p.m. WEDNESDAY, take an additional 50 percent off all clearance merchandise.
These deals are only good in Old Navy stores and not online.
If you didn't like the looks of the deals on the first two days of the tax-free weekend, you've got one last chance.
If you've got the stamina to keep shopping, today's sales circulars and coupon inserts offer up new deal potential.
As I mentioned in my post on the new school supplies deals, there are some rare coupons in today's inserts, giving us extra savings on items such as Avery and Five Star binders, Scotch brand products and Five Star notebooks.

Old Navy launched a shopping promotion this week that will work nicely with the upcoming tax holiday.
For every $20 you spend at Old Navy, you earn $10 in "Super Cash" to spend later.
The promotion started Monday and runs through Aug. 18 so purchases you make Friday, Saturday and Sunday during tax-free weekend will qualify.
The Super Cash is redeemable Aug. 25 through Aug. 29. For every $10 you redeem, you must spend $20.

Not only are they super cute, they're pretty cheap as well, especially if you can somehow get a few more uses out of them (siblings?). Pick from a bumble bee, a chicken, a dragon or my personal fave, the monkey. There are 11 different styles in all.
