Today's (double) giveaway could be your guilty pleasure

Television is a tough business, and so, history is strewn with failed series.

Some failed because they were bad; others because they were before their time.

Today, we offer two giveaway 2-packs that offer the shows' full first seasons AKA the complete series.

First up, "Sherri," the short-lived Lifetime sitcom based on the life of "The View" host Sherri Shepherd. The two-DVD set includes 13 episodes plus bonus webisodes featuring Ms. Shepherd's standup comedy.

We've paired that with "Huge," an acclaimed ABC Family show that starred Nikki Blonsky as a girl who attends fat camp and her relationships and adventures there.

The second package features "Off the Map," the ABC show from the preoducers of "Grey's Anatomy." You'll get more than 500 minutes of the show about young hot doctors in the South American jungle, plus bonus features like the cast discussing jungle medicine and cures.

That comes with the complete series of "Outsourced," the NBC sitcom about an American working at a call center in India. More than 7 hours of viewing with this one, plus a gag reel.

Want in? Just email here for the first package; and here for the second. We'll take entries until 7 tonight (12/20). We'll have a random drawing.

And we won't judge.

What to Watch on Wednesday: "Hot in Cleveland" takes it one day at a time

Cougar Town (9:30pm, ABC) - When technical difficulties derail the gang's movie night plans, Jules invents a game to pass the time, though Ellie gets miffed that her pal's ideas always get preferential treatment. Meanwhile, Grayson's trash-talking irks Andy. All of the other ABC sitcoms are repeats tonight.

Hot in Cleveland (10pm, TV Land) - Melanie's in for a surprise when she meets Pete's brother (John Schneider) and his mother, who is played by Valerie Bertinelli's former TV mom Bonnie Franklin ("One Day at a Time"). Meanwhile, Joy's immigration scam with Rick hits a snag, Victoria looks for a sugar daddy, and Elka celebrates her freedom from jail in her own way.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Transplanting "Grey's" to the jungle

UPDATED: For info on coverage of tonight's memorial service in Tucson, read this.

Live to Dance (8pm 9pm, CBS) - The 18th act is announced and two acts advance to the next round. We'll be posting recaps of this show starting tomorrow. Update: President Obama will speak at a memorial service in Tucson tonight between 8 and 9pm, moving this show to 9pm ET.

Marching Once More (8pm, UNC-TV) - A new locally produced documentary about a reunion of veterans (three of them from North Carolina) commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in Europe. "North Carolina's WWII Experience" airs after this at 9pm. Read more.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Mitchell and Cameron have a chance encounter with Mitchell's old girlfriend (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and Gloria's efforts to befriend another couple annoy Jay. All ABC sitcoms are new tonight.

Off the Map (10pm, ABC) - The premiere episode of another Shonda Rhimes doc drama, this one set in the jungles of South America. It has Zach Gilford from "Friday Night Lights," but mostly, it's just a ripoff of "Grey's Anatomy" moved to a jungle (and "Grey's" is miles better). Check out our full review.

Law & Order: SVU (10pm, NBC) - A woman (A.J. Cook) is raped by a masked man and her partner is severely beaten by him. The injured woman's estranged father, played by Jeremy Irons, is notified of the incident. When police question him, they find themselves confronting an uncooperative man with a sordid past.

Shonda Rhimes puts sexy doctors in the jungle

Shonda Rhimes doesn't like it when someone says her new show "Off the Map" is like "Grey's Anatomy" in the jungle.

Sorry, Shonda, but we call 'em like we see 'em.

Rhimes' latest doc drama is about a group of American residents who report to a clinic somewhere in South America to combine practicing medicine with doing good for the world/making a fresh start. The residents are overseen by two hot American doctors who run the clinic along with a native doctor (Valerie Cruz) who resents the American doctors being there -- even though it would appear from the staff we see, there'd be no clinic without the imperialist intruders. Seriously, there's an anti-American rant in every one of her scenes in the pilot. That won't get old.

And if you were thinking Zach Gilford ("Friday Night Lights") would be the reason to watch this, let me disabuse you of any of your Matt Saracen Returns fantasies. . . .
