Gov. Bev Perdue has decided to keep Nina Szlosberg-Landis, a Raleigh media consultant and a Democrat, on the 19-member state Board of Transportation.
Szlosberg-Landis, 49, has served as an at-large board member specializing in environmental issues since 2001, when she was appointed by former Gov. Mike Easley. This week Perdue notified the legislature's Joint Transportation Oversight Committee that she was reappointing Szlosberg-Landis for another four-year term.
Campaign finance reports show that Perdue has received $5,000 in campaign contributions from Szlosberg-Landis since 2006. Szlosberg-Landis also contributed $5,000 to Easley between 2002 and 2004.
