Jesse James explains himself on "Nightline"

Dirtbag Jesse James (hey, you can't expect us to be impartial on this, can you!?) talks to "Nightline" tonight about the skanky affairs that ended his marriage to Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock.

The reality show star is likely trying to repair his image, but I'm not sure if that's even possible at this point.

James, who breaks down during the interview, tells "Nightline" reporter Vicki Mabrey that he "took a pretty amazing life and marriage ... and threw it away by my own hands." When she asks James if he's "the most hated man in America," he replies that he believes he is "the most hated man in the world."

You can watch a preview of the interview below.

John Edwards scandal: The Andrew Young TV tour

You're probably in one of two camps: Either you're sick to death of this x-rated homegrown trainwreck, or you can't wait for the next installment of "All My Love Children." If you're in that second camp, you'll want to set your DVR to catch all of Andrew Young's interviews as he jumps from show to show promoting his new book, "The Politician." So far, it looks like Young belongs to ABC, but if that changes, we'll add updates here.

Friday, January 29
*20/20 (10pm, ABC) - Exclusive interview with Bob Woodruff...
*Nightline (11:30, ABC) - The hijinx continue...

Monday, February 1
*Good Morning America (7am, ABC) - Young's first live interview...

ABC has two diva interviews tonight: Jon Gosselin and Tyra Banks

ABC has two big diva interviews tonight. First on "Primetime: Family Secrets," Jon Gosselin tells GMA's Chris Cuomo about his marriage to and separation from Kate Gosselin; later on "Nightline," Tyra Banks talks to Cynthia McFadden about some of her successes and controversies.

In the Gosselin "exclusive" interview, Jon isn't wearing an Ed Hardy t-shirt, which is a terrific start. But Jon does tell Chris Cuomo that Kate was verbally abusive to him and that he "despises" her. Cuomo warns him that maybe he shouldn't speak that way about the mother of his children, but Jon doesn't back down.
