RALEIGH — Just when all seemed lost for the Carolina Hurricanes, they found a way to win.

Matt Cullen and Chad LaRose each scored a pair of goals for the Canes, who summoned up enough late energy to rally past the New York Islanders 5-4 Friday night at the RBC Center.

Hurricanes 6, Islanders 2

The Carolina Hurricanes have won another game on the road.

Now, what about at home?

Eric Staal scored his 25th and 26th goals of the season Thursday as the Canes rolled past the New York Islanders 6-2 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. Ray Whitney, Dennis Seidenberg and Anton Babchuk each had a goal and assist for Carolina.
