Canceled: Almost everything on CBS

CBS has pulled the plug on pretty much everything on their schedule without "CSI" or "NCIS" in the title.

What's gone? Cold Case, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Gary Unmarried, Miami Medical, and Accidentally on Purpose.

They did renew Rules of Engagement and The Medium.

There's still hope for fans of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Christine and Jennifer Love-Hewitt's Ghost Whisperer. ABC could be interested in both of those shows, but the odds are better for Christine. (Wanda Sykes co-stars on Christine, and her Fox talk show just got canceled last week).

What to Watch on Wednesday: Johnny Depp narrates Doors documentary

America's Next Top Model (8pm, CW) - In the season finale, four contestants are whittled to two, who then shoot a cosmetics commercial and walk the runway in an Anna Sui fashion show.

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - The season finale has Christine at a surprise engagement party getting to know Max's friends, but she soon starts to feel intellectually inferior to them. Eric McCormack stars.

The Doors: When You're Strange (9pm, UNC-TV) - Johnny Depp narrates a new documentary about the rock group, the Doors, which includes lots of previously unseen footage of Jim Morrison and his bandmates.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - The families finally make it to Hawaii. Jay wants peace and relaxation but that is not in the game plan. Also, Mitchell and Cameron have very different views on sightseeing.

Mercy (9pm, NBC) - In the season 1 finale, Veronica helps some kids trapped in an empty building, and Aida Turturo guest stars as a psychic patient who makes a prediction about Sonia.

What to Watch on Wednesday: A fashionable season two debut of "Leverage"

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - Christine tells her therapist (Eric McCormack) that she loves him.

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Auditions continue, but move on to Atlanta.

Human Spark (8pm, UNC-TV) - In the second installment of the PBS series, Alan Alda investigates the differences between humans and their fellow simians, including chimpanzees.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Phil plays dumb when Claire accuses their son of downloading smut, when really, it was Phil.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (9pm, NBC) - Naveen Andrews ("Lost") is a detective from the Special Frauds unit accused of stalking a woman whose parents were murdered.

Leverage (10pm, TNT) -  I think it's a requirement that at least once per show per season, someone must "infiltrate the world of high fashion" to solve a murder or save workers from slaveshop conditions. "Leverage" opens its second season tonight with such an episode.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Adam Lambert performs on SYTYCD finale

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - Christine attends the neighborhood Christmas block party, where she learns a surprising secret about one of her neighbors (Molly Shannon).

Sing Off (8pm, NBC) - The five remaining groups perform and two of them are eliminated.

So You Think You Can Dance (8pm, Fox) - The winner is chosen in tonight's finale, and Adam Lambert and Leona Lewis each perform.

Dwarf Adoption Story (9pm, TLC) - This new show from TLC, about a dwarf couple who try to adopt a 2-year-old dwarf from Albania, reminds me of "The Soup's" recent spoof on the network's insane programming: a show called Fertile Little Tattooed Pageant Parents Who Enjoy Baking.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Olivia suspected of murder on L&O:SVU

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - Jennifer Grey guest stars to date Richard, who is played by Clark Gregg and who is Grey's husband in real life. Confused? Dave Foley is back as Richard's friend who keeps trying to date Christine.

Glee (9pm, Fox) - Shuster divides the glee club into couples for a ballad, which is great till someone gets sick. Another bad idea: Finn has dinner with Quinn's parents.

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - DNA evidence identifies Benson (Mariska Hargitay) as the prime suspect in the murder of a biker gang dude. While Munch and Finn investigate the case, Stabler (Chris Meloni) works to prove her innocence.

Top Chef (10pm, Bravo) - The remaining chefs take part in an extremely difficult cooking contest established by French chef Paul Bocuse. Bocuse's son Jerome, who is also a chef, serves as a guest judge along with Thomas Keller. A lot of other famous chefs also appear. Whatever -- we just want to see if this is the night Jen has her breakdown and what kind of assy thing Mike Volt says about our Kevin.

Also worth mentioning: Robin Roberts interviews Janet Jackson tonight at 10pm on ABC, Noelle Marsh of Sanford continues to shine on So You Think You Can Dance (8pm, Fox) and Modern Family (9pm, ABC) is always funny.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Bill Cosby receives Mark Twain Prize

Bill Cosby: The Mark Twain Prize 2009 (9pm, PBS) - Bill Cosby receives the 2009 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in a ceremony that features clips from his classic shows and tributes from Phylicia Rashad, Carl Reiner, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and many others.

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - Geeky little Ritchie, played by Trevor Gagnon, gets invited to a dance by the most popular girl in school. Ritchie's social boost makes Christine's popularity skyrocket too, and being the great mother that she is, Christine explains to him that being popular is the most important thing in the world.

Mercy (8pm, NBC) - Elisabeth Moss (Peggy from "Mad Men") guest stars tonight as a cancer patient who wants Veronica to let her die. You know Moss is going to act the fool out of that.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - Manny displays a talent for fencing, and Jay's fatherly pride stirs up some painful memories for Mitchell. Stick around for "Cougar Town" at 9:30.

Flowers Uncut (10pm, TLC) - A new series that takes you into the intriguing world of flower arranging. Acclaimed designer Jeff Leatham returns from Paris to set up business in New York. And to film a reality show, of course. Back-to-back episodes tonight.

Man v. Food (10pm, Travel) - Adam Richman v. 190-pound burger in Detroit.

What to Watch on Wednesday: Glee shows the softer side of Sue

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - Eric McCormack (left) hasn't been able to make a go of a new show for himself since the end of "Will & Grace," but he's staying busy lately with strong guest spots on other shows (and we're hoping he has better luck with his "Tad Quill" pilot on ABC). Tonight he plays a therapist sharing office space with Matthew, and he starts up a romance with Christine.

Modern Family (9pm, ABC)
- Family barbecue at Jay and Gloria's! Drama du jour is courtesy of Manny and Luke, who  rehash an incident at school, which leads to someone being called a "coal digger."

Glee (9pm, FOX)
- Fox promises we will see the "softer side of Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch)" tonight, which is just a little bit terrifying.

Top Chef: Las Vegas (10pm, Bravo)
- Here we go with "Top Chef's" oldie but goodie, "Restaurant Wars Challenge." Will the gang finally kill and devour their weakest link (aka "Big 'R' little 'obin'")? And can't we just fast forward to the part where it's Bryan and Michael and Kevin in the final three? Because I think by this point, we all know that's where this show is going (although, Bryan better keep his eye on Jen).

What to Watch on Wednesday: Lots of new shows tonight

New Adventures of Old Christine (8pm, CBS) - Last season ended with Richard getting gilted by new Christine, and Barb (Wanda Sykes) getting apprehended at his wedding by a sexy INS agent. Wait, Richard is single and Barb needs an American husband. Hmmmm.... (Can't recommend it, but "Gary Unmarried" follows at 8:30).

Mercy (8pm, NBC) - It's another nurse show, and despite having their own version of McDreamy (James Tupper from "Men in Trees"), reviews are pretty sketchy. The main drama involves a former Iraq war vet nurse (Taylor Schilling, left with Tupper) and her coworkers in a New Jersey hospital.

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) -  Producers promise that this season will be more intense than ever, which is a fairly scary thought. Tonight's episode features Christine Lahti as an Executive ADA assisting in a serial rape case.

Criminal Minds (9pm, CBS) - This premiere picks up where last season ended: Hotch (Thomas Gibson) being shot by the Reaper (C. Thomas Howell).

Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - In a(nother) mockumentary style sitcom, Ed O'Neill plays the patriarch of the Pritchett family. He's divorced from Shelly Long, but remarried to a woman half his age, and his gay son has just adopted a Vietnamese baby with his partner. Hilarity ensues.

Cougar Town (9:30, ABC) - A new comedy that appears to be better than its awful title would indicate. Courtney Cox plays a 40-something struggling with the usual issues of aging: re-entering the dating game, raising a teenage son, arm flab, etc.

Eastwick (10pm, ABC) - A new show based on John Updike's novel and the 1987 movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer. Three New England women (Rebecca Romijn, Jaime Ray Newman, Lindsay Price) discover their witchy powers while keeping a close eye on possible love interest/possible bad guy (Paul Gross).

CSI: NY (10pm, CBS) - Tonight's premiere will answer the question of who got shot at the end of last season's finale episode. Are Mac (Gary Sinise) and Stella (Melina Kanakaredes) both okay?
