NCISAA playoffs for baseball, softball, lacrosse, track, boys golf, boys tennis

The N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association spring sports playoffs are underway, with all of them ending on or before May 18. Below are the brackets for each sport.

St. David's won the 2A boys' tennis title. Runners-up include: Durham Academy girls' lacrosse, Cary Academy boys' tennis, St. David's boys' golf, Cape Fear Christian baseball, Ravenscroft boys track, Ravenscroft girls track.

Word of God was the highest ranked NCISAA area team in the final regular season N&O rankings

Qualifying from the Triangle are: the Word of God boys; Sanford Grace girls and boys; Cape Fear Christian boys; Raleigh Grace boys; Carolina Friends girls; St. David's boys and girls; Cary Christian girls; Cary Academy girls; Ravenscroft girls and boys; Durham Academy girls and boys; North Raleigh Christian boys and girls.

Of these, Word of God's boys' were the only ones to win it all.

N.C. Independent School Athletic Association playoff pairings in field hockey, boys soccer and volleyball. With the playoffs now done, here's a full list of what happened in each of those brackets.

Only two Triangle champs were crowned in this fall's team sports -- Durham Academy field hockey and St. David's volleyball.

Brackets and locations of N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association playoffs in baseball, softball, girls soccer, 3A boys tennis, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse and track & field.

NCISAA basketball playoffs scheduled

The N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association basketball playoffs are set to start, and conclude, this week.

Aside from the opening rounds, which will be played Tuesday at higher seeds, Raleigh is the host of this year's tournaments.

Thursday's second quarterfinals, Friday's semifinals and Saturday's championships will be held at North Raleigh Christian Academy (1A), St. David's School (2A) and Ravenscroft (3A).

Among the top area teams in this year's field: Ravenscroft's boys (2-seed, 3A), Cary Academy girls (5-seed, 3A), Durham's Carolina Friends girls (2-seed, 2A), Cary Christian's girls (5-seed, 2A), Word of God boys (3-seed, 1A), St. David's girls (9-seed, 2A).

Ravenscroft enters NCISAA football playoffs as the No. 4 seed.

Triangle runners dominate NCISAA

Durham Academy freshman Eliza Dekker won the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association girls’ state cross country title and set the tone for Triangle-area schools in chilly conditions on Saturday at McAlpine Park.

After Dekker’s victory, the titles kept coming.
