In the 4-A ranks, Garner and New Hanover meet for a sectional title for the second straight year. Chapel Hill gets a chance to advance to the 3-A East Regional, while Northwood visits cross-county rival Jordan-Matthews in the 2-A ranks.

Friday's NCHSAA East girls basketball sectional finals

A showdown of one-loss Millbrook and one-loss Green Hope leads the 4-A lineup, while a Chatham County rivalry is renewed in the 2-A ranks as Northwood visits Jordan-Matthews.

NCHSAA dual-team wrestling regionals

Tonight marks the regional round in the 2-A, 3-A and 4-A dual-team wrestling playoffs with the championship set for Saturday. The 1-A dual-team wrestling regionals and championship will be held on Saturday.

NCHSAA dual-team wrestling playoffs

Today starts the wrestling dual-team playoffs. Teams meet in four-team pods today, with the advancing team moving on to Thursday for another four-team pod. The state championships will be held at school sites on Saturday.
