The violent storms that swept Wednesday evening through the northern part of Orange County prompted Chapel Hill-Carrboro schools to postpone all outdoor activities.
That included the crucial Carolina-9 soccer match between Carrboro (17-3-0, 12-1-1 conference) and the N.C. School of Science & Math (15-1-0, 14-1-0).
The Jaguars, ranked No. 6 by the state 2-A coaches, and No. 5-ranked Unicorns have rescheduled their soccer match, which will decide the Carolina-9 Conference championship, for 5 p.m. Thursday at Carrboro High School.
