NCHSAA baseball championship match ups set

Some of the top players and teams in North Carolina high school
baseball will be trying to add hardware to their trophy cases this
weekend in the 94th annual North Carolina High School Athletic
Association state baseball championship series.

NCHSAA sets softball finals

Fuquay-Varina and Harnett Central play at Friday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the double-elimination portion of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4-A softball tournament at Raleigh's Walnut Creek Softball Complex. Four teams have advanced to the 4-A finals.

 In 3-A, South Johnston plays Southwestern Randolph at 5 p.m.

NCHSAA sets baseball finals pairings

Wilson Fike begins its best-of-three state 3-A championship series against East Rowan on Friday at 8 p.m. at Five County Stadium near Zebulon.

Western baseball rained out again

Western regional final between Asheville Roberson and East Forsyth is rained out on Monday. The NCHSAA has not announced playing times for this weekend's state championship series.

Softball pairings almost set

Harnett Central and Fuquay-Varina advance to 4-A double elimination tournament at Raleigh's Walnut Creek Softball Complex. South Johnston makes the 3-A field.

Baseball sites chosen

Locations and pairings for the North Carolina High School
Athletic Association state baseball championship series scheduled for
June 4-5 have been set.

Midway girls top Science and Math

Midway slipped past Durham Science & Math 1-0 in the sectional
finals of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A girls softball
tournament on Friday night.

Western Harnett eliminated

Western Harnett was eliminated in the sectional finals of the N.C.
High School Athletic Association 3-A girls softball tournament on
Friday night by Southwest Randolph, 8-1.

Harnett Central to Walnut Creek

Harnett Central, the top seed from the Greater Neuse 4-A Conference,
has earned a berth in the N.C. High School Athletic Associaiton's four
team double-elimination softball championships at Raleigh's Walnut
Creek.
