What to Watch on Saturday: Mick Jagger has all the moves on SNL season finale

America's Got Talent (8pm, NBC) - NBC is repeating this week's premiere, which features new judge Howard Stern. Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne return as judges, and Nick Cannon is back as host. This first episode features auditions in St. Louis and Los Angeles.

Saw Dogs (9pm, Discovery) - You can get your fix of chainsaw-sculpting with tonight's "Saw Dogs" marathon. Some of the creations featured in tonight's episodes are a mother whale and her baby, a massive tree house, and a soaring eagle for a golf course.

American Warships (9pm, Syfy) - The crew of the USS Iowa take on a fleet of hostile alien spaceships. This is a movie, by the way.

Saturday Night Live (11:29pm, NBC) - Mick Jagger pulls double duty on SNL's 37th season finale, hosting and providing the music. Jagger is scheduled to perform without his fellow Stones, so don't expect to see Keith Richards tonight. Jagger is pictured here in a 2001 "Saturday Night Live" skit with Jimmy Fallon.

Clay Aiken Q&A: 'American Idol' star could win 'Celebrity Apprentice'

Raleigh native and current Durham resident Clay Aiken, a runner-up on the second season of "American Idol," is currently a favorite (at least by the way I call it!) to win the top spot in this season's "Celebrity Apprentice" show on NBC.

Clay's time on the show has served him -- and his charity -- well (he is playing to earn money for The National Inclusion Project, a charity he helped form). Viewers this season have discovered that Clay is pretty proficient at a lot of things besides singing and acting. For many of the tasks he and his teammates have been charged with, Clay has written, produced, directed, managed and designed. And he wowed us during one project with his puppetry skills -- skills he said he learned attending Vacation Bible School while growing up in Raleigh.

Earlier this week I got a chance to talk to Clay by phone about his experiences on the show. The interview is below. "Celebrity Apprentice" airs this Sunday night at 9 on NBC, and the season finale will air next Sunday at 9.

What to Watch on Wednesday: NBC premieres 'Bent' sitcom

Criminal Minds (9pm, CBS) - The BAU searches for a kidnapper after an emaciated boy is found in an Arizona desert and another boy disappears.

Bent (9pm, NBC) - Here's what NBC does whenever they get a good new comedy: they barely promote it and then burn off the episodes really fast. I hope this isn't what they are doing with "Bent," but it sure feels like it. "Bent" is about a super chill contractor dude (David Walton) who tries to charm a newly divorced, high strung single mom (Amanda Peet) while he and his crew work on her home. Also stars JB Smoove, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jesse Plemons, who played Landry on "Friday Night Lights."  Episodes air at 9 and 9:30. Note: The other two funny NBC sitcoms that never got a decent chance -- "100 Questions" and "Perfect Couples" -- also starred David Walton.

Happy Endings (9:30pm, ABC) - As much as I'm getting behind "Bent," I do not condone skipping "Happy Endings" at 9:30!! Tonight, Dave becomes the target of a bully at his gym, so onetime bully Alex coaches him on how to work out his problems.

Duck Dynasty (10pm, A&E) - In the premiere episode of this new reality show about a Louisiana family who operate a thriving business manufacturing duck-hunting gear, Willie gets fed up with the lax work attitudes of other family members. The male members of the Robertson family look like they stepped straight out of a "Sons of Anarchy" casting call.

Psych (10pm, USA) - Shawn and Gus team up with members of Gus' former a cappella group to investigate the shooting of a prominent leader of an at-risk youth group.

'Celebrity Apprentice' sidebar: Did Lou Ferrigno assault Penn Jillette?

In my recap of last night's "Celebrity Apprentice" episode, I explain how there was a little drama on the men's team when Clay Aiken took on Penn Jillette (right) after Clay felt Penn was unfairly criticizing the ideas of teammate Lou Ferrigno.

The real drama may have taken place off camera.

Immediately after last night's episode aired, fans were using Twitter to tell Penn Jillette what they thought of his behavior on the show. Some fans were positive, others chastised him for being a jerk to Lou. In some of his responses to fans, Penn seems to allege that there was an altercation during filming in which he was struck by The Incredible Hulk himself.

Here are some of the tweets:

'Celebrity Apprentice': Trump fires two

Tonight's "Celebrity Apprentice" challenge was to come up with a presentation to promote the new Buick Verano. Or as pop singer Aubrey O'Day called it (twice! during the presentation!), the Buick Verona.

It was a car challenge and the men have Michael Andretti on their team, so of course, their team leader was Adam Carolla. Michael didn't want to be the leader and told Adam to take it. Adam's a gear-head, so he wanted it and felt he was a good choice.

The leader of the women's team was Debbie Gibson. That's right -- the Debbie Gibson! (Yeah, I'm not impressed either).

For those who like consistency in your reality television, yes, Lou Ferrigno once again felt horribly under-utilized and complained that his team doesn't appreciate everything he brings to the table. He wants everyone to know that he is capable of so much more than being The Hulk. To prove that, he pitched -- hard -- that he get to dress up like The Hulk for the Buick presentation. No thanks, Lou.

'Community' animated shorts unveiled today

"Community" doesn't return to the NBC lineup until March 15, but starting today, Hulu.com has released the first of three new animated shorts (about 2 minutes each) based on the show. Parts 2 and 3 will appear on the Hulu site on March 8 and 9, respectively.

The three animated clips (titled "Abed's Master Key" parts I, II & III) star the animated alter egos of Abed, Britta, Dean Pelton, and others from the show. The plot of the series is that Dean Pelton hires Abed as his temporary assistant, but Abed abuses the power of having a Greendale Master Key.

The shorts were written by Dave Seger and Tom Kauffman. The first installment is below.

'Awake' is NBC's strongest drama in a while

"Awake," an ambitious new show debuting tonight at 10 on NBC, might be the strongest drama the network has offered in the past couple of years.

It stars Jason Isaacs as Michael Britten, a homicide detective who in the aftermath of a fatal car accident, lives in alternate realities in which either his wife or his son did not survive the crash. It's up to the viewer to decide -- along with Britten -- which reality is real and which is a dream.

Tonight's pilot episode opens with the horrifying, slow-motion car crash and fast forwards to Britten and his wife (Laura Allen) at the funeral for their son (Dylan Minette). In this world, Britten goes to his job, works his homicide cases, sees his shrink, and comes home to his grief-striken wife. The next morning he awakens and his son is alive, but his wife is not. He repeats a similar version of his other life (different homicide case, different partner, different shrink), only this time he has his son.

The pattern repeats each morning.

NBC needs tonight's new debut to be a 'Smash' hit

Can "Smash" save NBC? Well, it certainly can't hurt. And the Peacock needs this one. Bad.

Here's the nutshell version of tonight's big series debut (10 p.m.), in case you've missed the nine million promotional spots NBC has been pushing for weeks (but considering how few people actually watch NBC, maybe the pilot isn't as overexposed as many believe?):

"Smash" is a musical drama about a group of Broadway producers attempting to stage an original show about the life of Marilyn Monroe. It has a great cast (Debra Messing, Angelica Huston, Katharine McPhee), great original music, and lavish choreography.

Even for the most casual theater fans, "Smash" is an intoxicating insider's look at putting on a Broadway show, from the first spark of an idea through financing and casting, all the way to opening night.

What to Watch on Monday: Is this NBC's comeback night?

The Voice (8pm, NBC) - 'The Voice' follows their post-Super Bowl debut with a two-hour episode containing more blind auditions. Coaches Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton at left.

House (8pm, Fox) - Following a violent incident involving a patient, House and the team are placed under review by the neurology chief.

The Bachelor (8pm, ABC) - The remaining women (both North Carolina women are still in the mix, but something tells me that changes tonight!) visit Panama, and hopefully, Emily from Chapel Hill can stop talking about Courtney for five seconds.

Alcatraz (9pm, Fox) - We've only seen prisoners up to now, but tonight an old guard resurfaces and encounters an old acquaintance.

Hart of Dixie (9pm, CW) - Tonight's Valentine's dance episode features a performance by Raleigh native Tift Merritt.

Smash (10pm, NBC) - This much-hyped debut of NBC's (much better!) answer to "Glee" follows a group of professional adult people staging a Broadway show. In tonight's debut, a writing duo come up with the idea to base a musical on Marilyn Monroe, and an experienced chorus girl competes against a promising newcomer. It has a great cast, which includes Debra Messing, Angelica Huston and Katharine McPhee. Here's my full review.

Lost Girl (10pm, Syfy) - Bo protects a human woman after a fury tries to hire Bo to kill her husband's mistress.

Today's (double) giveaway could be your guilty pleasure

Television is a tough business, and so, history is strewn with failed series.

Some failed because they were bad; others because they were before their time.

Today, we offer two giveaway 2-packs that offer the shows' full first seasons AKA the complete series.

First up, "Sherri," the short-lived Lifetime sitcom based on the life of "The View" host Sherri Shepherd. The two-DVD set includes 13 episodes plus bonus webisodes featuring Ms. Shepherd's standup comedy.

We've paired that with "Huge," an acclaimed ABC Family show that starred Nikki Blonsky as a girl who attends fat camp and her relationships and adventures there.

The second package features "Off the Map," the ABC show from the preoducers of "Grey's Anatomy." You'll get more than 500 minutes of the show about young hot doctors in the South American jungle, plus bonus features like the cast discussing jungle medicine and cures.

That comes with the complete series of "Outsourced," the NBC sitcom about an American working at a call center in India. More than 7 hours of viewing with this one, plus a gag reel.

Want in? Just email here for the first package; and here for the second. We'll take entries until 7 tonight (12/20). We'll have a random drawing.

And we won't judge.
