Republic Wireless, a division of Cary telecom company Bandwidth, reopened enrollment on Tuesday for its $19-a-month beta plan for unlimited voice, text and data.
Bandwidth launched Republic Wireless last year. New customers are now being offered a new Motorola handset, DEFY XT.
Founded in 1999, Bandwidth also provides telecom services to thousands of small businesses across the country. It provides network services for other telecom providers such as Vonage, Skype, Google Voice and Pinger.
Last month the company announced that it would relocate to N.C. State's Centennial Campus in Raleigh, where it will occupy Red Hat's 75,000-square-foot Venture III building.
The company has signed a four-year sublease and expects to relocate to Raleigh by October.
Bandwidth employs about 275 people in Cary and more than 300 nationwide.
