NCDOT starts work on Millbrook and Avent Ferry roads

NCDOT starts work this week on pavement rehabilitation projects that will upgrade sections of Millbrook and Avent Ferry roads in Raleigh.

Rea Contracting Inc. has a $4 million contract to fix 2.1 miles of Avent Ferry, between Athens Drive and Western Boulevard, by mid-August.

Rea has a $3.8 million contract to fix 5.8 miles of Millbrook from Glenwood Avenue to Falls of Neuse Road, by mid-September.

No lanes will be closed during the weekday rush hours (6-9am and 4-7pm) on either project.
