Millbrook remains undefeated with win at East Wake

Defensive coach Josh Pardue’s squad recovered five fumbles, intercepted two passes and blocked a 20-yard field goal try to preserve the shutout in the Wildcats’ 49-0 victory over host East Wake.
A few high school football games are scheduled for Friday

Garner streak ends

Millbrook’s 34-0 victory over Garner ended the Trojans’ 77-game scoring streak and was only the second time in 22 years that Garner had been held without a point.
Clayton played Garner to a 0-0 tie in 1986 and Wilmington Laney stopped Garner's 199-game scoring streak in a third-round playoff game in 2001.Garner had scored in 276 of its previous 277 games before Millbrook posted the shutout.
