Photos: Cary SuperSkippers jump rope with Michelle Obama on 'Live! with Kelly'

Members of the Cary Family YMCA SuperSkippers team got a double treat when their appearance on the “Live! with Kelly” morning television show turned into a double-Dutch skipping session with First Lady Michelle Obama.

Five members of the Cary SuperSkippers team, all in the 13-14 age bracket, were on “Live!” to show off their double-Dutch skills, unaware that the First Lady was on hand as a surprise guest.

The show normally airs live but this episode taped on May 30 and aired this morning at 9 on WTVD.

SuperSkippers head coach Gary Anderson said the presence of Secret Service agents tipped off the parents who were along on the trip that Mrs. Obama may be in the studio, but said the kids had no clue until she walked out on stage.

Tough love with a hug from "America's Supernanny"

There's a new nanny in town. "America's Supernanny" (9 tonight, Lifetime) is no Jo Frost. Well, superficially anyway.

The new nanny is Deborah Tillman, a Virginia-based childcare specialist. She is lean and African-American; there's no cuddly Mary Poppins vibe here. Instead, the vibe is pure professionalism. Tillman, wearing pearls, kitten heels and a silky bob, walks in the door with such confidence, she seems truly super. The needy parent instantly seems inferior.

OK, I'll go there. Others I've spoken to have made something of the Supernanny being black. Seeing even a professional, well-spoken African-American woman posing as the one who knows best how to care for white folks kids apparently gets some folks riled up in a "The Help," kind of way. And then there's the other thing; Tillman is Michelle Obama-ish looking. Can't you hear it? We've already got the first mother telling us to eat our vegetables. Now she's telling us how to raise our kids!

Happy Feet (8pm, ABC) - The tap-happy romp (Best Animated Feature Oscar winner) about a penguin colony that finds its mates through song, and an outcast who can't carry a tune but can dance like Fred Astaire (or Savion Glover, whose movements were replicated using motion-capture filming). Features the voices of Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, and Brittany Murphy.

"Let's Move! With the First Lady Michelle Obama": It's good for you

When it comes to politics, the First Lady certainly has a partisan agenda.

But Michelle Obama is also focusing on an effort with benefits across party lines: childhood obesity.

On "Let's Move! With the First Lady Michelle Obama" (TV One, 10 tonight), host Roland Martin talks with Mrs. Obama about her "Let's Move" movement, giving her a chance to explain the goals of the effort, her own healthy life evolution, and how you can get your kids to eat vegetables.

President Obama is often criticized for sounding wonky or professorial. Not so with Mrs. Obama. During the interview with Martin, she's plain spoken, conversational, and yet, informed.

President Obama coasts and enjoys "The View"

There were some grumbling about whether President Obama should have appeared on "The View" today.

After watching, I can't say a bit of dignity was visibly lost. The ladies took the event quite seriously; besides bringing in Barbara Walters to give them news credibility, Sherri Shepherd wore her most dignified hair, a big old bun.

Were the questions tough? Nah. But the president didn't talk about whether he wore boxers or briefs. Indeed, I'm pretty sure he accomplished exactly what he wanted. And no, Joy didn't kiss him, and yes, Elisabeth did attempt to go hard.

Jill Biden will appear on "Army Wives"

Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, will make a special appearance on the Lifetime drama "Army Wives" in August.

Dr. Biden will appear as herself, showing up at the fictional Fort Marshall to kickoff the post's annual Fun Run. While on base, she'll talk to some of the characters about the challenges families face while loved ones are deployed. The network says many real Army wives will be featured in the episode, too.

Dr. Biden and First Lady Michelle Obama have both been active in efforts to raise awareness of the challenges facing military families.

Cable customers could lose Food Network (and Obama on Super Chef Battle!)

If you were unfazed by the impending loss of FX and the Fuel channel tonight, thanks to the News Corp. battle with Time Warner Cable, perhaps the prospect of losing the Food Network will be enough to get your cheeks beet red.

Especially since this Sunday's big "Super Chef Battle" episode was to feature Michelle Obama and a special White House Garden showdown between Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, and White House Chef Cristeta Comerford.

.biz blog has more details of the dispute between TWC and Scripps Network, which also owns HGTV and the Travel Channel.

What to Watch on Sunday: Susan Boyle, The Jacksons, and Oprah with Obama

I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Story (8pm, TVGuide Network) - A look at British singer Susan Boyle's surprising rise to stardom, hosted by Piers Morgan. In the special, Boyle sings "Cry Me a River" and the Rolling Stones song "Wild Horses." The show repeats at 9pm (and probably a thousand more times next week). TVGN is channel 0 on Time Warner Cable.

The Jack5ons (9pm, A&E) - Tonight's the premiere of the new Jackson reality series, which follows the lives of Jermaine, Tito, Randy, and Marlon. In the opening episode, the brothers announce their 40th-anniversary album, but news of Michael's death ends their dream of a reunion. Also, Jermaine gets angry when Jackie erases his vocals in studio editing. Oh ... snap. Check out Adrienne's review.

Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special (10pm, ABC) - Oprah interviews the President and First Lady and gives us a look at Christmas preparations at the White House.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians (10pm, E!) - Season four begins tonight with Kris and Bruce Jenner learning of Kourtney's pregnancy and working through their hatred of Scott, the baby's father.

Also, Showtime has season finales tonight of Dexter (9pm) and Californication (10pm). "Dexter" has featured John Lithgow as the baddie this season, and tonight's finale should be excellent.
