Miami waits on Brown

The Miami football recruiting class is ranked No. 9 in the country by rivals.com, but the Hurricanes class could move up within the next few years.

Bryce Brown, the No. 1 player on rivals' list, did not sign on Wednesday, which was the first day of the signing period. Brown has made a commitment to Miami, but is considering other schools.

Mike Farrell, a recruiting analyst for rivals, said Brown is the best running back prospect out of high school since Adrian Peterson.

2008 record: 4-4 Coastal, 5-6  overall  ACC

ACC Recruit ranking: 3.

National Recruit ranking: 9.

Five star: Armstrong.

Four star: Dye, James, Johnson, McGee, Miller, Reid, Robinson, Vernon, Washington.

Rivals.com top recruiting classes entering signing day
