Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Coach Taylor mingles with those on the less fortunate side of town when he puts together a fundraiser to fix the lights in Carroll Park. Also, Becky gets some potentially life-changing news.

America Celebrates July 4th at Ford's Theater (9pm, ABC) - At this special taped earlier in June and hosted by Ty Burrell ("Modern Family"), President Obama presents African Archbishop Desmond Tutu and South African Constitutional Court Justice Albie Sachs with the theater's Lincoln Medal. The medal "exemplifies the particular focus, dedication and generosity of spirit" of President Abraham Lincoln. Dick Van Dyke, Kelly Clarkson, and Lionel Richie perform, as well as the cast of "Mary Poppins" and the Soldier's Chorus of the United States Army Field Band.

Merlin (10pm, Syfy) - In the Season 2 finale, the freed dragon attacks Camelot with a fury that cannot be defeated except by a dragonlord, all but one of whom where killed years earlier at Uther's behest. Isn't that always the way... So, Merlin and Arthur set out to find the last dragonlord (John Lynch).

Miami Medical (10pm, CBS) - In the series finale, Proctor and Zambrano each question their ethical boundaries when faced with difficult decisions concerning the lives of their patients. Also, Deleo's brother unexpectedly reappears.

What to Watch on Friday: "Whale Wars" fights the good fight

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Coach Taylor realizes his East Dillon squad has problems both on and off the field. Also, Luke's injury worsens and Riggins makes a life decision that could backfire.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - It hasn't been a great week for whales, so it's comforting to know someone out there is fighting for them. In tonight's installment, the Sea Shepherds use their stealth boat the Ady Gil to ambush a Japanese reconnaissance vessel. Get 'em!

Merlin (10pm, Syfy) - In an effort to end Uther's reign, the sorcerer Morgause revives the formidable Knights of Medhir and convinces her half sister Morgana to cast a sleeping spell on the people of Camelot.

Miami  Medical (10pm, CBS) - A construction worker becomes trapped underground when a giant sinkhole opens, and Serena has an unexpected encounter with Dr. Kaye.

There are also a ton of Michael Jackson programs on tonight, marking the first anniversary of his death, including special editions of "20/20" and "Dateline." Read the full schedule here.

Good Guys (9pm, Fox) - Fox yanked "Past Life" to show Friday night repeats of this Bradley Whitford-Colin Hanks cop show. Good call.

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (9pm, Food) - This repeat includes a visit to a converted gas station in Charlotte which serves maple-glazed grilled pork chops.

Miami Medical (10pm, CBS) - Several divers are injured while exploring an underwater wreckage, causing Serena to face one of her biggest fears. New episode, but the show is not renewed for next season.

Canceled: Almost everything on CBS

CBS has pulled the plug on pretty much everything on their schedule without "CSI" or "NCIS" in the title.

What's gone? Cold Case, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Gary Unmarried, Miami Medical, and Accidentally on Purpose.

They did renew Rules of Engagement and The Medium.

There's still hope for fans of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Christine and Jennifer Love-Hewitt's Ghost Whisperer. ABC could be interested in both of those shows, but the odds are better for Christine. (Wanda Sykes co-stars on Christine, and her Fox talk show just got canceled last week).

What to Watch on Friday: "Miami Medical" debuts great cast

Who Do You Think You Are (8pm, NBC) - I have to say, last week's episode with Matthew Broderick and all those war heroes really got me. I don't know if this week will be as great, with Brooke Shields uncovering all kinds of fancy-pants "European aristocracy and royal intrigue" in her family. On second thought, maybe it will.

Medium (9pm, CBS) - Also sounding pretty great is this episode of "Medium" in which Allison has dreams of an enigmatic young girl who could be tied to a series of grisly family slayings. Part one of two parts.

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution (9pm, ABC) - More greatness. Jamie continues his quest to bring healthier food options to the school children of Huntington, West Virginia. This week he gets some motivated teens at Huntington High School to help him raise money to fund his fresh food initiative.

Miami Medical (10pm, CBS) - Will this be great? The cast sure is. Andre Braugher and Jeremy Northam (right) star in this pilot for a new CBS medical drama about a team of surgeons who work in a trauma unit in Miami.
