Tickets are still available for the upcoming "Farmer Veteran" film dinner.
If you can swing the $150 price tag, this is not a meal you want to miss. At 8 p.m. Aug. 10, Triangle restaurateur Giorgios Bakastias will open his Durham home for a fundraising dinner. The meal will be cooked by two of the area’s hottest chefs – Ashley Christensen of Raleigh restaurants, Poole’s, Beasley’s Chicken + Honey and Chuck’s; and Matt Kelly of Mateo Tapas and Vin Rouge, both in Durham.
And the cause is a worthy one: to help Vittles Films finish the upcoming documentary, “Farmer Veteran.” The film chronicles a year in the life of a U.S. Army veteran attempting to heal himself through agriculture. It is being directed and produced by Jeremy Lange and D.L. Anderson of Vittles Films.
