Cut your Halloween costs with candy coupons

With Halloween just a few weeks away, the candy manufacturers are releasing all kinds of coupons to help save you money on your trick-or-treat budget.

You'll find them in recent Sunday coupon inserts in The N&O, on printable coupon websites and in magazines. Most of them don't expire until Oct. 31 or after.

And just how much should you pay for a bag of Halloween candy?

FREE chocolate...need I say more?

Pick up some FREE chocolate at Walgreens this week.

Here's how: Snickers Valentine Creme Hearts are 50 cents each when you buy two. Use the $1/2 coupon from the Jan. 29 Red Plum 1 insert.

The coupon is good on any Mars Valentine's Day product. No size is indicated on the coupon so it works just fine on these bite-size one-ounce candies.

You'll walk out of the store just paying tax.

Can't beat free chocolate.

FREE Snickers Christmas candy!

Here's a great opportunity to help fill your kids' stockings for FREE.

At Walgreens this week, you can get Mars holiday candy novelties for 39 cents each using the coupon inside Sunday's circular.

Then use the $1/2 any Mars holiday product coupons from the December All You magazine. The coupon does not specify a size.

The cashier should adjust the amount of the coupon, giving you 39 cents off each piece of candy.

You'll walk out paying nothing for two of these cute Nutcracker Snickers treats.
