Here's a big ol' blast from the past: The Longbranch is reopening this month, after closing during the summer of 2008 following a 26-year run as Raleigh's main country club. Management is making some cosmetic changes, but we have been assured that the "Longbranch atmosphere" will remain the same. For more particulars, see the story about it in Thursday's paper.
In other club news, the revamped Six String Cafe's much-delayed opening should happen next week. Pending the passage of a few more inspections, the doors should be open for a show by the Green Level Entertainers next Thursday, Dec. 17.
