On the Recruiting Front: Crawford, O'Connell

The three-time state pole vault champ and Tri-Nine volleyball player of the year have decided where they want to go to school.

2009 Tri-Nine volleyball teams released

For the second straight year, a Green Hope player was awarded the Tri-Nine Conference volleyball Player of the Year. Senior Lindsey O'Connell was named this year's winner after her Falcons finished the year second in the conference with a 17-5 (14-2) record.

Apex coach Nikki O'Connell, no relation to Lindsey, was named the conference's Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars to a perfect 16-0 conference record. Apex ended the year 20-4 with three of the losses coming to eventual state champions.
