LexisNexis owner to add 350 jobs in Cary

Reed Elsevier,  parent company of the legal information giant LexisNexis, today announced it would add 350 jobs to its Cary operations and invest $1.75 million in the area.

The expansion will focus on building the marketing, sales, customer support and product development areas in the company's Wake County facility. The jobs will have an average salary of $91,644 plus benefits, compared to the Wake County average of $44,980.

"The expansion in Cary supports out mission to bring innovative products and services to market even faster than today," said Mike Walsh, CEO of LexisNexis Legal & Professional.

Reed Elsevier provides information services in the science, medical, legal, risk management and business-to-business sectors. The company more than 300 employees in Cary and Charlotte and more than 30,000 globally.
