Leviton Manufacturing, which makes electrical wiring, lighitng controls, power cables and other electrical products, announced Monday that it is expanding its operations in Morganton and will create 152 jobs over the next three years.
The Melville, N.Y.-based company will invest $7.3 million in its facility in Morganton, about 60 miles east of Asheville.
Leviton is eligible to receive up to $1.1 million in state incentives if it meets hiring and investment goals.
The average annual wage for the new jobs will be $35,488, above the Burke County average of $31,304.
Leviton currently employs 531 people in North Carolina.
