One of America's favorite moms has died. Barbara Billingsley, who played June Cleaver on "Leave it to Beaver," was 94.
Billingsley's family says she suffered from a rheumatoid disease. Billingsley is also known for "speaking jive" in the spoof, "Airplane." I should probably post a sweet "Leave it to Beaver" moment here, since this is a TV blog, but Billingsley's scene in "Airplane" is one of the funniest movie moments ever. Enjoy.
And rest in peace, Mrs. Cleaver.

Jerry Mathers has been a working actor since age 2 — a cool 59 years. But in between starring as the "The Beav" on the iconic sitcom "Leave it to Beaver" and starring on Broadway in "Hairspray" in 2007, Mathers played high school football, earned a philosophy degree, served in the Air Force National Guard, worked in banking, real estate and health advocacy and owned commercial property and a catering business.
