George Steinbrenner montage from "Seinfeld"

"You wanted to see me, Mr. Steinbrenner?"

Youtube has a montage of every moment from "Seinfeld" featuring New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, who died today. We only ever saw the back of Steinbrenner's head, and his voice was courtesy of Larry David, but it was great. (There is one episode featuring the actual George Steinbrenner, who asks Elaine to be his date for George's wedding).

Here's part one of the video, and also part two.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" hits basic cable with enhanced episodes

How does TV Guide Network handle the prolific use of profanity on "Curb Your Enthusiasm?" A heck of a lot better than A&E did with "Sopranos."

HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" makes its syndication debut on basic cable this week, hitting the TV Guide Network with uncut episodes and other enhancements that will take the show from the usual half-hour format to one full hour.

On HBO, "Curb" ran for a half-hour without commercials. TVGN runs commercials, but they aren't cutting the episodes to fit them in. Instead, they're expanding the show to a full hour, adding a celebrity discussion panel at the end of each episode.

"Curb: The Discussion" is hosted by Susie Essman, who plays Jeff's wife Susie on "Curb." Essman and a group of celebrities will watch an episode of "Curb" together, and then discuss the episode's moral and ethical dilemmas (such as, How long do you have to wait after your girlfriend's relative dies before you can break up with her?). The panel is actually pretty interesting (and funny), and their arguments are not unlike the watercooler dissections the show's fans engage in with friends and colleagues.

PBS doc helps figure out what makes us happy

We sing about it, we write about it, we just plain desire it.

Some even think we can find it by watching TV. Next to the meaning of life, we most want to know how to be happy.

Tonight at 10 (!) on UNC-TV, PBS begins a three-part documentary exploring happiness called "This Emotional Life."

(Each episode is two hours long, so you might want to set the DVR.)

Hosted by Harvard professor Daniel Gilbert, the documentary examines why happiness is so elusive, using a mix of science and personal stories.

We learn the brain science behind different facets of happiness.

Larry David's true ethnicity revealed on "Lopez Tonight"

This is so funny to me, but then just about everything Larry David does cracks me up. Larry went on "Lopez Tonight" (which he seems to regret) and agreed to a DNA test to determine his true ethnicity (which he also regrets). The results from host George Lopez are surprising and hilarious (Lopez swears it's for real).

Ever think you'd see Larry David truly speechless? Well, here you go:

Sharon Lawrence sure to go down in "Curb" history

Tonight's new episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," which is stronger than the season's premiere and sure to be an instant classic, prominently features Raleigh native and Emmy award-winning actress, Sharon Lawrence.

In the episode, Lawrence plays a cancer specialist who believes personal relationships can contribute to a patient's recovery, and who advises her patients to "walk out on" toxic partnerships.

As we know, the show's star, Larry David, wants out of his relationship with Loretta (Vivica A. Fox), who has cancer. Larry may not know what it's like to have cancer, but he knows what it's like to be with someone who has cancer, and Larry isn't built for that kind of sacrifice.

So as he's making Loretta's fresh-squeezed carrot juice and contemplating missing his golf game to drive her to a hair appointment, he hears Dr. Trundle (Lawrence) describe to Dr. Phil the type of toxic personality she advises her cancer patients to avoid:

"Someone who is impatient, someone who is obnoxious, someone who is petty and argumentative, and obsesses over meaningless details at the expense of a harmonious relationship."

Sound like anyone we know?
