Our guest bloggers shared what they thought of this season's "American Idol."
Now we can share what Clay Aiken thought.
Apparently, he wasn't pleased, and he posted negative remarks on his official blog about presumed frontrunner Adam Lambert, calling his performance of "Ring of Fire" "contrived, awful and slightly frightening!"

With "American Idol" done, we asked our guest bloggers to look back at the season and tell us what they thought.
Lenni Gustafson:
Until this year, I longed for the excitement of season three with Fantasia and Diana DeGarmo. Fantasia, like Adam Lambert this year, was a total breakout in the talent department. And I loved Carrie Underwood in season four. After that, I was not nearly as enthralled with the later stages of the competition, though Jordan Sparks did a great job.
Guest blogger Claire Meyerhoff watches the finale and gives you something to think about:
Is this 80’s night on American Idol?
I’m blogging once again from the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. We’re in the dining room with the BIG TV and lots of cheap, fattening party snacks. I’m joined once again by the wonderful Sara from Buies Creek and tonight we’re happy to have Yira Alfaro with us. She’s from Puerto Rico, and has been staying at the Ronald McDonald house for more than a year while her daughter Andrea is treated at Duke Children’s.
Guest blogger Claire Meyerhoff is back and writing about the finale pt. 1:
Blogging LIVE from the Ronald McDonald House of Durham…THIS is American Idol!
After weeks and months of auditions, scary contestants, a new judge, a guy named Anoop and a girl with tattoos, it’s down to the very last song-fest between a couple of cute guys who are very different. We’ve got glam Adam, sporting guyliner and alternating between sweet sounds
and high-pitched shrieks. Then there’s coffee-house Kris, the adorable underdog who we barely noticed “way back when” but really is a very pleasing musician with a lot of charm.
I’ll never understand why the result show needs to take up an hour because the part everyone wants to watch only takes about two minutes.
Maybe they just like to make me listen to music that I normally would not.
The show opens with a few cast-members of “The Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” to tell us how the American Idol desk is on its way to the Smithsonian Museum. I am super pumped about the release of this movie so I do not mind that they are in the way of me finding out the results.
Guest blogger Amber Wynn gives us the scoop on the last three standing:
American Idol celebrates its 300th episode in true 300 fashion with headlocks, slaps and punches amongst the judges that would make even Gerard Butler tremble.
So, it’s down to three! Adam, Danny and Kris have the chance to wow the audience twice; once with a song chosen by the judges and again with a song that they have chosen for themselves.
Guest blogger Lennie G. on last night's Idol disappointment:
So, we had an interesting night.
We had No Doubt, Slash and Daughtry. They were OK, but not really finals material. We had Paula Abdul doing her new single, "I'm Just Here for the Music", which really was quite good and maybe a possible second place overall.
We had the results of 64 million voters, and, in my opinion, they voted for the wrong person.
Guest blogger Lenni G. rocks a (late) recap:
All hail the Rock God and Goddess.
Adam started Rock night with "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin. As Paula said, it was a whole lotta perfect! And I totally agree with Simon that no other performance would top it, although --
Allison came next with a perfect song for her, "Cry Baby" by Janis Joplin. Could not believe Randy felt it was a poor song choice and that Kara wanted "more melody", whatever that means. I'm with Simon again that it was a "terrific vocal." And Adam's girl did a great job on her hair.
Shoo be doo be do. Here's guest blogger Aaron Peck's take on last night's Idol:
Hello Idol blog-readers! It's good to be back just in time for Rat Pack Week, where we get to hear the standards from Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Dean Martin. For those who are unfamiliar with my style, I'll be judging our top five on a scale of one to five. Five being unbelievably awesome, one being... well... go home.
Before we get to the performances, we find out that the contestants received advice from a surprise mentor: Jamie Foxx.
