Should departing Wake County Schools Superintendent Del Burns consider relocating to Durham?

That was a thought suggested Tuesday in a post on the Bull City Rising blog by Kevin Davis. He noted that the Durham school system is looking for a new superintendent after Carl Harris left to take a job in the U.S. Education Department.

"Hey, Del, you looking for a new job? Please?" writes Davis, who has been supportive of Wake's diversity policy.

Comparing boards in Wake and Durham

The latest meetings of the Wake County school board and county commissioners are making people think of the days when the Durham school board had wild meetings.

In a Tuesday post on the Bull City Rising blog, Kevin Davis asks "whether some magical government gremlins" that were responsible for the Durham school board's antics earlier this decade have made their way into Raleigh.

Wake neighborhood schools to help Durham?

Will the election of a new Wake school board majority that opposes the current diversity policy help Durham?

That's the viewpoint articulated Wednesday on the Bull City Rising blog by Kevin Davis. His take on the election results is that neighborhood schools will make western Wake even wealthier, which in turn will make Research Triangle Park even more relevant.
